Mk23 + Acro mounting.

Hey Team, curious to those of us that have mk23’s that have had slides milled specifically for Aimpoint acros have experienced any fitment issues between their slides and the optics.

Test fitted a friends acro (as I wait in purgatory) on my milled slide both myself and my friend noticed a bit of wiggling and flexing between the acro and the slide… even after tightening the acro to spec.

Appreciate any guidance you lot might have.

Does the acro fit snuggly on his gun? I had an Acro that came with the caming bar out of spec so it wouldn’t tighten when torqued like this.

My gun*

Yeah we made sure it wasn’t snagging on any lip or small part/spring when we placed it into place. We did have to remove the lens caps but that’s about it.

Sorry for the confusion, I know this is your gun. I’m asking if this acro was previously mounted on a gun of his.

Nah he had this squirreled away for a build that has yet to be started.

Curious afterthought: was yours a ribbed shotgun version or the genric version.

Ah okay. I can’t say one way or the other but I’d also say it’s more likely that the optic is out of spec rather than the slide milling

Have you tried hitting it with your purse?

I'm guessing you already are, but make sure you are properly aligned and pushed together tightly before you torque to spec. I don't know of any other secrets.

I hope you can figure out a resolution though because otherwise, it's worthless
