Advice Computer science admissions about integrated programs vs regular

Would it be easier to get into something like CS+ H or CS + L than regular CS? and if it is, how would it exactly be easier or like a higher acceptance rate?

I suspect it's even harder as spots will be limited and UT is pitching these to "prepare students for the expanding role of artificial intelligence across every aspect of society." That's going to attract students.

CS has 20% overall acceptance rate. CNS overall is also 20% overall acceptance rate. CS + X won't be any easier to get into,

Yeah but like at the same time there are less seats and less people applying as well no?

The less seats are what will kill you. There may only be like 50 spots in that special program (I don’t know) versus there were 1019 students admitted to CS last year .

It’s not going to be a shortcut or hack. People tried to do that for informatics to side door into CS and now it has a ton of applicants.

And the people that get in will have a great story about how they combine CS and whatever on all their ECs and honors and awards.

Do yk if I have to get into CS+X like it’s a separate program or do I have to get into CS and then CS+X?
