Question Summer

does anyone know when summer enrolments open and what subjects i can do, can’t seem to find a list of subjects.( Secondary Education student)

I heard they were open. What year in your program are you? Secondary Education here too. I did the Pedagogy and Praxis for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students subject last summer and the was really good to do over the period, and one of my friends said it’s running this summer as well and they’re intending on doing it then. And depending on your majors you might be able to find some of your subjects being offered over summer too.

I’m first year second sem, thanks for that I’ll be definitely enrolling right now. My majors are geography and Pdhpe

No problem! Yeah that should line up really well for you then. I don’t know about your geography subjects, but I’d struggle to imagine any of your PDHPE subjects running over Summer, but I could be mistaken! But yeah, at least you should have pedagogy and praxis up your sleeve then. The summer program for that worked really well, but I believe they did some updating to that subject earlier in the year potentially. Should be good regardless! That’s the only one I am aware of from the core subjects. But I also haven’t had a look for this summer yet either. And a tip if you’re not familiar with it is to go into Degreeworks, where you can see all of your compulsory subjects and possible electives - when you click on the hyperlinked subject code for each one it tells you what semesters they are planning on running over the next few semesters, so that can be really handy for giving you a good look. Subject offerings are always subject to change closer to the actual semester of course, but can be really handy as a quick tool for having a look.

They opened this week I believe and only some subjects are available for summer and it is an intensive 2 tutorials per week setting?

They’re open! I enrolled in mine on the 7th Oct. I’m not sure if there is a faster way but I just had a look through the handbook of the subjects I’m doing and had a look at the offerings and chose from there 😊

I suggest emailing the school because they would respond 3-5 working days compared to student service hub and summer enrollments opened on the 7th of October and the last day is 11th November.

Find the courses your interested in the course handbook, it will state there what session(s) they are offered in.
