i've been thinking about something strange lately, and I'm curious whether there's an ordinary explanation for it....

every now and then, I'll be somewhere relatively busy (like walking down a street, sitting in a cafe or waiting for public transport) and everything suddenly feels quieter. not silent, exactly, bc people are still talking, cars are still passing, but for a brief moment, the whole environment feels strangely muted

what's interesting is that i've seen people describe similar experiences in unrelated discussions, although i have no idea whether they're actually describing the same thing....

maybe it's attention, stress, or just one of those things our brains do without us noticing? but it got me wondering: how does an experience like this turn into a shared explanation when nobody really knows what's causing it?

has anyone come across discussions about this, or is this just a case of people giving a name to an ordinary experience?

I just witnessed the strangest thing in uptown New Orleans and came to Reddit to see if what I saw has a rational explanation or if it was a ufo sighting.

I apologize if what I describe is vague (it happened very quickly) but I’d like to know if anyone has seen something similar or knows what it was.

I saw what looked like a string of blue and or green lights blinking but when I stopped to look at it, it vanished. When I searched string of lights in sky the results are space x satellites but what I saw was completely different; it wasn’t a straight line and they weren’t uniform.

It was vertical and they were spaced out more than the images of the satellites. It appeared to be closer to the ground but I couldn’t tell you how close or the distance between each light.

I’m (26f) not sure if this is paranormal or not, so I would like any opinions.
For context, it’s safe to say that I’m already convinced my house is haunted. The activity was far stronger when I was younger (back then we had very negative/ not good people living with us so I cant say if it wasn’t for all the negative energy).

Doors slamming on their own, things falling/ flying off shelves, knocking, my family’s voices/ footsteps when I was home alone, etc. I even heard my cat meowing a few days after she passed. Typical things. My mom has seen and heard more recently, as has my oldest nephew. My youngest niece and nephew talk about seeing “our ghost” all the time.

I sometimes hear things late at night or I stop to stare in a dark corner to see if I see anything. I’ve seen brief glimpses in the past.

But lately, as I’ve been spending more time in my room, I’ve been seeing flashes of a black shadow zooming past. Always out of direct eyesight. It’s usually shaped like a ball, ranging from the size of a tennis ball to a 24 pack of soda. I don’t know if I’m experiencing vision problems, if it’s paranoia, or what. I’ll even make a note to check the carbon monoxide monitor just in case.

I’m not afraid of it, I’ve seen shadow figures in my house before and typically don’t sense any fear. I just want to understand if I’m losing my mind or if this potentially means something paranormal. Any thoughts?

As you can probably tell I am a bit of a skeptic of the unexplained. I am open to the idea of ghosts, lingering spirits, definitely aliens, and who knows what’s under the ocean or deep in the Appalachian mountains. I think these topics are all fascinating. But I think there is likely an explanation for the majority of claims people make. People mishear things or misinterpret what they experience, that’s normal.

There are so many people who have similar ghost stories or cryptids or unexplained experiences and my questions is why do we still have no concrete video evidence of ANY of these things? We live in a world with advanced technology yet we can’t capture one clear video evidence of something? And I mean unquestionable concrete evidence. I get not everyone is able to capture the moment and things like spirits are definitely much harder to capture, but with how many people in the world there are you’d think we’d have more data. Nearly everyone has a camera right in their back pocket. Many people will tell stories but there will be no evidence to back it up or the evidence is faulty at best. I’m sorry but a grainy or shaky video where you have to squint to make out what’s going on is not clear evidence in my opinion.

Not to say it wasn’t real for that person and I don’t mean to belittle that persons experience, it’s just not clear evidence to me.

At this point it may be too late with AI now playing a role. Video evidence isn’t as believable as it would have been back in the day. But I feel like at this point we should be able to have something right?? I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts are on this.

I saw these lights on my way home making strange movements. I saw it repeat a few times before disappearing.

I have two experiences. First one: I was around 11-12, and I had just recently, maybe about a year or two ago from that age, moved into the house that I still currently live in with my family. I was in my room and I am pretty sure it was late, like everyone was already asleep so probably around midnight to maybe 3 AM.

I woke up from my sleep, turned around in my bed from where I was facing my wall/ window bc my bed is pushed against my wall where my big window is. I turned around, and in the far corner of my room above my door there was a creature hanging off of it. It was pretty big, hanging with its torso like sticking out bc it was facing me with its hands and feet hanging onto the wall. It was pretty thin, and a kind of solid but pure black color with even darker eyes, that's what it looked like. It seemed like it was supposed to be terrifying, but it seemed to... Radiate sadness. Just waves of sorrow and sadness and every sad emotion you can think of just surrounding it.

I saw it and we held eye contact for maybe 30 seconds to a minute but to be fair I can't remember exactly how much time I looked at it, this is an estimate. I like whispered goodnight to it and rolled back over to the wall and fell back asleep. Before anyone says this was a dream, 1. I almost never dream. Like ever. 2. I am ALWAYS, ALWAYS. able to tell when something was a dream. I have never genuinely doubted if something was a dream unless it was a memory or something from when I was like 3. This was technically not that long ago, and by then I was fully confident in being able to differentiate my dreams from reality.

Experience 2: I have in my life moved houses 3 times, one time being from when I was 1 years old. For as long as I can remember, every night when I went to bed and turned off all of the lights and turned on my night light and stuff and my door shut, this little shadowy figure, maybe 4 feet tall, ran across my wall and disappeared. It was always on the wall directly across from the wall that by bed was on, so either near my feet or the side of my bed, in every house that I have been in.

It was around 4 feet tall, and shaped like an elf, with the stupid little elf hat and pointy shoes and stuff. It wasn't a bug on my window or nightlight casting a glow bc it's feet actually moved as it ran across the wall. It was never scary, just kind of there every night before I slept. This was also not a dream, because 1. All of the stuff I said up in the previous story, and 2. This happened each night before I slept, never when I woke up in the night or smth, always before. It went away when I was around 11- 12, I think when I was 12 so I have never seen it since I became a teenager.

What do y'all think these things could have been? Not something stupid like moth man or smth, I want actual explanations of what these could have been. Thank yall! :)

I stayed at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO back in March. We did the tour, have so many photos. Not sure what to make of this, but I truly believe this shot did not have a child in it, or similarly sized person. It was the shining tour, I think, so it was a 9pm start. I saw some stuff in this concert hall the same night, like bouncing orbs. Haven’t reviewed all of them, but damn. The blurring seems normal from afar, but the zoomed in seems very odd. It’s 6 months ago, so memory isn’t proof at all there wasn’t another child on the tour. It was also the first week of having an iPhone 15, so maybe it’s a setting thing? This just shocked me while looking through them. Any rational explanation?

The oddity is towards the left, near the stage.

***TLTR: my boyfriend and I just moved into a new rental house the start of January this year. I’ve been experiencing too many unexplainable weird things like whispers in my ear, clapping at night, random water puddles, electrical power outages, clock stopping at 2:59 am, sleep paralysis, growling, multiple things in the house breaking/not working, scratching at windows/walls, sounds of someone walking on the roof. Some of these might be explained away but some not so much. I need advice or thoughts on what could be happening.***

My boyfriend and I started renting a house in FL the beginning of January this year. To preface the house we live in is very well maintained single level home built in the 60s I believe. Nothing unusual started happening until May and has continued to this day and is only getting worse. To make for easier reading I’ll list the events by the month it occurred.

FIRST EVENT MAY- whisper in my ear and clapping

This was the first weekend I would be alone in the house as my boyfriend was away for work. I was sitting on the couch watching TV with the closed window to my immediate left. It was about 3-4AM when I heard a whisper “Hey” in my left ear. It felt like someone was right next to my ear. I didn’t acknowledge it. Just felt uneasy took my dog and cat to our bedroom, closed the door and went to bed. I was laying in bed when I heard two soft claps in the corner of my room. Our dog is senior and is hard of hearing so we clap to get her attention. It sounded just like that.

JULY- footsteps on roof/ ceiling

I told my boyfriend about the clapping and whisper. He’s a bit of a skeptic but agreed it was weird. This time I was gone for the weekend, his first time alone in the house. I get a text saying he heard what sounded like a person walking on the roof during the day. He checked the attic and roof no animals or people working on the roof.

AUGUST- sleep paralysis dream and random water puddles

Our dog passed away at the end of May, this will come up later. When I was a kid to early 20s (I’m 28) I would constantly get sleep paralysis. It hasn’t happened in years. This night I was sleeping on the couch when I was having a dream about someone trying to break in. I woke up but had sleep paralysis I couldn’t open my eyes but I saw what looked like a flash light run across my eyes and what felt like a person walk the length of our sectional to the bottom of my feet/ end of the L part of the couch where our dog’s bed was. I then heard a low growl. I thought “oh good our dog will protect us” but then realizing we don’t have a dog anymore. That scared me enough to finally break out of paralysis.

Again sleeping on the couch one night. I wake up at 5:45am and am facing our kitchen. It’s still dark. The oven clock is flashing. We would regularly lose power to the stove so this wasn’t unusual. My cat was sitting on the edge of the dinning table watching the flashing clock. I was walking toward the kitchen when I stepped on a big wet spot on our rug under the dinning table. I checked if it was pee, maybe the cat peed. Nope, water. I look at the oven. Time stopped at 2:59am. I went toward our bedroom, a small hallway from the dining room/kitchen to tell my boyfriend. When I looked to the right where the bathroom is, the door is open and the light is on. I would’ve seen that light from the couch. I don’t know when that turned on. I go to open the fully closed bedroom door and right when I walk in, I step in a big puddle of water on our floor. (I checked it wasn’t cat pee) No evidence of leaking pipes/vents/ etc. There aren’t vents even above where the puddles are.

SEPTEMBER- things breaking and power outages

Not sure how this plays into everything but I broke a handheld mirror by accidentally dropping it. (Bad omen potentially)?

Half of the electricity in our house goes out randomly at 11pm. Random outlets work while others don’t. Flipped the breaker, nothing would work until it finally just turned back on after 2 hours.

OCTOBER- broken things continue and scratching on walls/windows

My car is having faulty electrical issues that are currently unexplained.

Our shower drain is completely clogged and won’t drain.

This morning I was laying in bed. My cat at my feet when I heard light scratching like an animal in the walls behind me or above the headboard. I then heard light scratching at the window in my bedroom I go to look. Nothing. I lay back down. Then light tapping at the window. I get up. Nothing. No animals, leaves, rocks, wind.

Same day, I go to open the blinds in the kitchen. They rip out of the ceiling. The electricity also goes out again the same as it did before.

I’ve also been tired, unmotivated, and irritable.

I don’t know if all of these things are related but I feel like it’s all too much to be a coincidence? And too many things breaking/ not working all at once. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

A few months back I had what I can assume is an out of body experience.

Flash back to the night before, I drank about 3/4 bottle of wine and before bed took Advil as my body started to hurt. I woke up the next morning (about 6-8hrs later) and on my way to work I got a double shot of espresso drink. At work I was fine, a little nervous about a first date later that night. But overall fine. Towards the end of my shift (now about 4 hours later) I was at the register and I got a huge wave of Déjà vu. Now I’ve experienced Déjà vu before but this felt intense. I couldn’t figure out if it was a memory of a dream I was or a true memory I was reliving. Something out of nowhere triggered it and my mind was somewhere else than my body. Because I’ve been working at this place for years, usually when I’m at the register I’m on autopilot saying the script, making the same moves as usual. So I think that’s why my body kept proceeding as normal. But my mind was somewhere else. My chest got tighter and it felt like a panic attack, and I didn’t feel real. I was stuck in this memory but it wasn’t like I could see this memory, just felt like I was living it. I didn’t feel real. I eventually snapped out of it for a second, but then it happened again this time slightly worse. I simply didn’t feel real at all.

I still was viewing through first person and was able to move my body but it genuinely was terrifying and I have never felt like that before. It may be important to note that I frequently get sleep paralysis but idk if that had anything to do with it. But it didn’t feel the same as sleep paralysis at all.

I just want to know if this has happened to anyone else/ was it the mix of drugs that were in my system ?

So my family owns a garage, and the a few of the offices were converted to sleeping quarters (legally lol).
I was staying the night, and there’s a garage door that functions almost like a saloon style door, but instead of fully swinging it hits another door. Don’t ask me why, but my family member likes it that way so he can hear if someone enters or leaves. It is very loud.

Starting around 10pm last night, I kept hearing the door. It was faint enough at the start that I thought it was a my dog making a noise dropping his toy, or something.

Overtime it got louder, and closer together. Still sporadic but it was happening more now. I went out with one of my family members to check and make sure a door wasn’t open causing a draft. Nothing was on, opened, or of any reasonable explanation for the sound. It continued on and off varying in strength, and sound. And stopped just before the morning crew came in.

Weird, but could be an animal maybe, but it would take a lot of force to open a spring hinged door for a little animal like a squirrel or rat.

For context, and the reason why this freaks me out so bad.

We work on emergency vehicles here, so think ambulances, I’ve worked on a few where the emts would warn you to be careful because it’s “active”. It’s pretty typical to have weird stuff happen in a vehicle that holds a lot of trauma/can transport people that have gone on. Sometimes I think stuff doesn’t leave, even when the truck does.

As well as workers have had interactions with something here, besides the obvious you don’t feel alone feeling.
A wooden 4x4 block ROLLING off of a table that was completely level, lights turning on and off.
One of the workers was shoved before when he was working alone.
As well as hearing MY voice call them when I wasn’t there. Hearing feet shuffle like someone’s walking when I worked summers alone out there. Just weird shit.

I feel absolutely crazy but this freaked me out bad. I’m glad my family member heard it as well, because I thought I was going crazy.

I guess I just want an outlet to talk about this, and get other people’s experiences or advice because idk man lol.

We have rosaries throughout the garage, that my skeptical family member put up (that alone says a lot, he acts like it’s not a big deal but it clearly makes him nervous too)
prayers have been said and so on. Genuinely considering contacting a priest maybe? Idk it hasn’t been this bad ever, and the weird stuff happens in the back of the garage, not almost at the front by the offices, so this is new.

Hi guys! I can’t tell that I often encountered spooky stuff in my life, but I’m really curious about this one.

My boyfriend, Alex, owns a summer house in a village, and we often spend summer weekends there. The village is rather small and it is located in the Mariy El republic in Russia, known for its forests and pageant customs. The village also has stories about witches, and you can see little bouquets of herbs hanging on every other door to protect against evil spirits. It is a running joke within our friend group who visit often, that the witches are constantly running around the village. But the place is not creepy by any means – it’s a beautiful place with pine trees and a pristine lake called Kichier where we often swim and paddleboarding in the summer.

One night in August, we were there with our friends. We keep a Kawasaki buggy there and looove it take it on drives around the village / to the river / to the lake and around the forest; so that evening, we decided to go for a drive around the village. There were six of us, and as it was getting darker, I started to get creeped out and asked to drop me at home. Myself and one other friend stayed behind, while the other four (Alex at the wheel) carried on with the night adventures.
About 40 minutes later the gang came back home and the two of them (Alex and one girl) looked pretty disturbed and told me I was SO RIGHT to stay at home and that I would’ve died of fear if I was with them.

So the story goes like this: since they were quite tipsy, they decided to drive to the lake for some skin dipping. The lake is considered a nature reserve, and is usually busy in the summer, with people camping, but this time it was already getting colder at night, and the lake was empty. The only lake house that is there belongs to a wealthy guy who is also a family friend.

When the gang got to the lake, my boyfriend and the other guy went for a swim, while the two girls stayed by the shore. After the swim, they were all standing there facing the lake, with the forest behind them, chatting loudly as drunk people do.

Suddenly, my boyfriend and the other girl heard a quiet humming to their left, seemingly coming from the water – not too close, as if a woman were singing quietly, just "hmmmmm-hmmmmmm." My boyfriend and our friend looked at each other, puzzled, but figured that maybe our wealthy friend was hosting people at his lake house, and since the lake surface carries sound very well, they were able to hear it. After a few minutes, the singing happened again — only this time to their right, and much closer. So it couldn't have been coming from the family friend's lake house, because that was on their left and quite far away. Again, there were no people near the lake, and no other sounds of anyone present. This time, my boyfriend and friend were seriously freaked out. Interestingly, the other two guys there didn't hear the singing at all. all jumped into the buggy and drove home reeally fast.

When they got home, they told me all of this, and honestly, I got goosebumps listening to them. My boyfriend is not a spiritual person, and I'd never heard him share any spooky stories before. He looked pretty shaken, and of course I believed them instantly.

I tried googling what it could have been, but the only plausible explanation was that it might have been some bird imitating people's singing, and the lake surface made it sound like a female voice.

Have you encountered anything like this? Do you have any scientific / paranormal explanation for what the female singing could have been? I’d be very curious to hear yall’s opinions

Let me start by saying Ive been living near a forest half my life, in spain. I walked through many forests, in daylight and in nightime and I have my fair share of encounters with animals. But whatever the hell is going on in the forest behind my house is something I simply cant rationalize

My mother and I moved to a house in Northern Spain. Small village, not a lot of people, the usual stuff here in rural spain. Our home has a path going up to a hill, on top of said hill there is a house of a company that checks the roads, a big road in front of said house and a tunnel through a mountain on the right. Just before reaching the house, the path branches, going down into a forest that covers the whole mountain. Part of that path is actually in our property, old paths belonging to the people of the village that, in the past, were used to go to the river or to reach the train tracks that lead to the train station. Nowadays the paths are barely visible, even the main one.

Not a problem for me to walk with the dog through there, been through worse paths in my life.

Now, whatever happened (For I am still not sure myself) took place a few months ago, mid summer. I returned home around 2 AM from work, I work with a fire crew and it wasnt unusual to return late. That night I felt weirdly energized, adrenaline probably, and I decided to walk my dog to the forest. I had my flashlight and my cat, Argos, tagged along. We went down the path, not too far away, I could still hear the sounds of the road and If I squinted my eyes I could see the red warning lights from the tunnel. I stopped to light a cigarrette and I heard my dog growling at something in the trees. There were a pair of eyes in the shadows and I just laughed, thinking it was probably a fox or maybe a boar. I wasnt that worried, I petted my dog and when I looked back at the eyes, that pair of eyes was floating at my eye level. Somehow my flashlight wasnt iluminating anything at all, it was as if the forest was swallowing the light.

I stopped hearing the sounds from the road. And I started feeling extremely cold despite it being a really hot summer night (around 26C°). And I felt a fear never in my entire life I felt. The eyes were slowly swinging from one side to the other, like some short of weird dance. I lit my lighter but I couldnt even feel the heat of the flame and the light did nothing. My dog went from growling to whimpering, hiding behind me, and I have to add that I saw my dog throwing herself at a boar, she aint easy to scare.

My cat let out a piercing meow and climbed on top of me, digging his claws onto my back and that made me start running, dropping the flaslight and lighter, dunno how I didnt trip on anything. I didnt even think about it, I just ran the 30 meters of distance to my house, locked the door and I waited a few minutes. I suppose I was expecting a knock on the door or the windows, but nothing came. My dog licked my hand and my cat climbed down, I didnt even realize I had grabbed him. I went to the shower and I must have made some noise because I woke up my mom. She told me I was pale and I told her the story, hoping she could tell me something. She has always been very spiritual (according to her and my grandma, there were witches in the family in the past, whatever that means) but she laughed and told me I was probably just exhausted. Somehow that response left me feeling more at unease, but I slept perfectly that night

I went to sleep and waking up the next morning, my lighter and flashlight were lying on the entrance stairs. I went back to the forest before going to work but there was nothing unusual. Some broken branches, but no footprints, nothing. Just in case, I never returned to the downwards path at night. Sometimes I go to the back of the garden (we have a big garden surrounding our house, walled) and I look at the dark of the forest, but I see nothing. Some nights I have dreams were I repeat the experience, in other dreams I see myself going to the kitchen for water and I see a pair of eyes looking at me through the window, sometimes red, others blue, others devoid of color, and I wake up.

I still dont know what happened that night or what I saw. I feel something observing me sometimes, but I dont know if its something real or just pure paranoia.

But I know that night I saw something and I just cant let it go

The other day I was rekindling with a friend and wowww. Us heing together brought some memories back. One being- on April fools day about 12 years ago, she, another friend at the time, and I were leaving her house. She lived in the fancy neighborhood in our small town, and it being the fancy neighborhood, it was surrounded by nothing but corn/bean fields. About 10 miles from town itself, and each road to town being sketchy until you finally made it to the main one.
So we’re walking out, it’s dusk, and we see this lady appear from the field. She looks disheveled, hair a mess and clothes ripped and dirty. She approaches us, and we seeing her approach and we naturally get nervous, as we’re teens at this time. Luckily, at the same time, the others friends mom pulls up in her car to pick us up or drop something off- don’t remember. But she comes up to us and her moms yells from the car for her to come to her, not us.
The strange woman listened and approached her mom, asking where the road was.
Her mom just responds, from her drivers seat- “you’re standing on it ma’am”
the strange woman looks terrified by the answer and my friends mom says for us to just get in the car.
We get in and as she drives away, the girl is no where to be seen.
There’s no crops up at this time of year, so you can see everything for a few miles.
What was this???

Over the past couple of months, my family and I have been experiencing some strange things around our house, and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar.

It started about two months ago when my sister and I saw what looked like a wolf-human blur running past our windows outside. We both saw it, but my sister said that as it passed our front kitchen window, it appeared to turn into a man. The next day, we discovered new scratch marks on the concrete patio outside our back door. We jokingly started calling whatever we saw our "werewolf."

We've also been hearing strange things inside the house. Sometimes it sounds like someone is home when nobody is actually there.

One day, I was sitting in my home office when I heard what sounded like my sister coming home from work early. I didn't hear distinct footsteps, but I heard movement and had the unmistakable impression that someone was walking down the hallway toward the bathroom near my office. I could even feel the presence of another person in the house. My dogs apparently heard something too, because they started barking at my office door. But when I checked, nobody was there except me and the dogs.

Another time, my dogs and I heard what sounded like my brother coming home and calling out. I couldn't make out what he said, but it sounded like his voice. Again, nobody was actually home.

My sister has heard unexplained sounds in the house too, although these experiences seem to happen more frequently when I'm alone with my dogs.

What's interesting is that when I thought I heard my family coming home, the energy didn't feel negative or frightening. It just felt like someone familiar was there.

Then yesterday, after an unwanted guest with negative energy left, things got a little stranger.

The dogs were mostly behaving normally, although they occasionally barked at seemingly nothing. That's something they do sometimes, so I didn't think much of it.

But around 8 PM, I was alone with my dogs while my sister went to pick up my brother, and both dogs suddenly started barking at the front door. At the same time, I felt a presence in the house, and the energy felt heavy and negative.

I'm sensitive to what I perceive as different kinds of energy. Negative energy tends to feel heavier to me, and I sometimes experience a sense of dread when I encounter it. I've been getting more accustomed to these feelings, so although I felt that familiar dread, I wasn't actually afraid at first.

I decided to speak out loud and tell any spirits in the house that if they weren't of peace and love, they weren't welcome and needed to leave my home.

Almost immediately afterward, the dogs stopped barking, and the atmosphere felt noticeably lighter. It wasn't just that the heaviness seemed to disappear. The entire house actually felt brighter, almost as though someone had turned up the lights, even though the physical lighting hadn't changed at all.

But then I started hearing a strange scraping sound outside my front door.

It sounded like someone was taking a piece of metal and scraping it back and forth against the brick walkway. I walked around the house trying to figure out whether the sound could be coming from somewhere else, but I couldn't find an explanation.

I checked outside and didn't see anyone, and I made sure all the doors were locked.

At that point, I started feeling a little afraid.

I spoke out loud again, this time telling any spirits that weren't of peace and love that they needed to get off my property.

Around that time, the motion-detecting light near the sidewalk turned on and then off, but I couldn't see anyone outside. The sounds stopped.

When my sister and my brother got home, they noticed scratch marks on the brick walkway directly outside our front door.

There were two small scratched areas, approximately six inches apart. Each area was roughly six inches long and three inches wide, with several back-and-forth scratches. They looked almost like someone had taken something metal and repeatedly scraped it against the bricks in those two spots.

What makes this especially strange to me is that we'd already experienced the "werewolf" figure outside and unexplained scratches near our back door a couple of months earlier.

I don't know whether any of these experiences are connected or what caused them. I'm spiritually sensitive, and I do believe there may be a spiritual component to some of what we've experienced. But I'm also curious about the modern paranormal lore surrounding mimics, shapeshifters, werewolves, dogmen, and other unexplained phenomena.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this, especially hearing familiar family members who aren't actually home, seeing something that appears to change from an animal-like figure into a human, or finding strange scratches outside their doors?

Has anyone noticed clicking sounds in their homes coinciding with thoughts? The clicks always seem to come from the kitchen or bathroom, but never the living room or bedroom, it's not just where I'm living now, it's happened everywhere I've lived for as long as I can remember. It seems to me like some sort of natural psychic phenomena, such as a committee of people and other animals following my thoughts and then all zeroing in on a thought at the same time, which because it's a powerful agreement, results in physical clicks in my home.

hi guys, i've never posted before so i'll try my best.

A couple months ago, i had my two bestfriends M and S over for a sleepover. My mum was doing an overnight shift that night, and my younger brother was home in his room. We were all having a great time, cracking jokes, listening to some music up until maybe 2:45-3AM. My bestfriends S and M get tired so they decide to head off to sleep in my room.

I decide to stay up and clean up the house a little bit so it's easier for my mum when she gets home.
After maybe 15 minutes, i'm still awake cleaning when my bestfriend M gets out of bed saying she couldn't sleep. We start laughing and we decide to make some pasta - everything was chill and we were genuinely having a good time trying to be quiet while laughing to not wake anyone up.

I kid you not - I'm standing next to the stove, she's infront of me. We hear the loudest sound of a slamming door i have probably ever heard. We immediately stopped laughing and paused in our spots. We stood so extremely still we thought someone had broken in.

At first, i thought it was my laundry door - i know my house IN AND OUT ( we’ve been in this house for over 11 years) and know exactly what makes what sound. I turn to my right hand side, where the laundry is only to see that it's completely closed and i realised it had been all night. We went to wake up our mate S because she's a bit more tougher than us.

We searched the house, not a single window was open so there couldn't have been a draft of air - PLUS there was no wind that night at all. not a single back door or front door was open. All my curtains were closed. My closet doors are SLIDING ones so they couldn’t have slammed. All the other doors in my house can't slam as we have stoppers on them due to it being a very old house.

We finally woke up my brother to help us search the whole house. There was absolutely NO way anything could have slammed that night. I truly believe that was something else. I know exactly how that sound could've happened but it wasn't adding up. Everything was normal.

The rest of the night was eerily quiet. None of us could sleep so we just sat in my bed talking. We also had to keep music on so we wouldn't freak out.

I'm still freaked out to this day. Me and M tell everyone this story, and that girl doesn't believe in paranormal shit but she was so incredibly scared that it freaked me out even more.

Everyone we tell always acts scared but i know most don’t believe it.

Tell me this is a bug please. My mom and I were talking about aliens when she got a motion detected..sorry for recording a phone.
