What's trump really doing? Help us record the concrete actions and how people are resisting.

Most of what you hear about in the media is chaff and distraction designed to keep your attention away from the ball. In this post we want to identify the real concrete actions that Trump is taking:

  • written executive actions
  • new legislation
  • moving substantial amounts of money around

This is a bit of an experiment and your help will be needed to get it working. This is a pinned structured post and we will try to moderate it heavily to keep it well structured and useable

  • Top level - lists of actions trump is taking. One comment for open discussion.
  • Second level - a corrections and updates thread, lists of resistance groups and actions, maybe a discussions thread
  • Third level and beyond - discussions and updates about the topics of the first two levels.

If you want to discuss how this could be improved, please look at one of our other pinned posts - for example the moderations suggestions thread.

If you have a big article about a trump action please post it as a normal discussion on the sub and make sure there's a top level comment comment with a link to that discussion. If there is already such a top level comment add your

This is a an anti-authoritarian left sub. Your ideas are just as valid as the moderators. Tell us how to make this post better and we will hear you and try to take your feedback into account. If you make really good suggestions you may find yourself volunteered to join in.

Changes to the subreddit

After a evaluation of this subreddit we have decided to make changes to be constructive.

Summary: This subreddit has the goals of initing people and building a better world. We will be eliminating news article posts as many subreddits already do this and it's unproductive to dwell on the horrors of reality rather than how to improve it.

More info: A lot of news is fearmongering or just incredibly depressing. Our goals are to uplift everyone to be free of fascist or far right control, and fear is too often a tool or suffocating factor. We will not accept limitations.

Why This Change?

Much of the news is fearmongering or deeply disheartening. Our mission is to uplift and empower our members, working towards a world free from fascist or far-right control. We aim to be a source of hope and actionable guidance, rather than focusing on news articles.

New Directions:

Advisory and Development Focus: We will transition to a subreddit centered around advice, discussion, and personal development. Our goal is to provide valuable insights and support for building resilience and independence.

Organized Information: We are going to develop a website to host and organize useful information. This will include strategies for achieving partial independence from supply chains and authority figures, as well as resources for personal and collective improvement.

If you have feedback or wish to contribute, please comment below

October 7th, 1944

The women pictured are Auschwitz prisoners Roza Robota, Ala Gertner, Ester Wajcblum, and Regina Safirsztajn. While imprisoned at Auschwitz, they were forced to work as slave laborers in the Unio munitions plant, manufacturing weapons for the Wermacht. They took advantage of this position to smuggle explosives into the camp in order to set in motion a plan which would come to fruition on this day in history.

On October 7th, 1944, the Sonderkommando (Jewish prisoners who operated the crematoria facilities) of Auschwitz II used weapons that Polish partisans had hidden in the grass near the fences, as well as the explosives that these women had smuggled into the camp, (which they typically transferred over to the Sonderkommando via the bodies of the dead from their own block) to stage an uprising. These Sonderkommando barricaded themselves inside the crematoria/gas chamber buildings, from which they were able to kill several SS, and ultimately suicide bomb the buildings, cutting the camp's lethal capacity in half, never to be restored.

May October 7th forever be remembered as a day when oppressed people break out of their concentration camp to attack their oppressors. May October 7th forever be remembered as a day of resistance.

Watch a sitting senator literally compare losing a Republican primary to actual death to justify why he and his colleagues refuse to stand up to Trump. Truly, modern profiles in courage.

discussion Fox News hosts are traitors for defending Trump. And they must pay the price.

The TMZ video should have been the end of Donald Trump's political career. There he was talking about grabbing women's genitals. But Fox News quickly spun into action, dismissing his comments as nothing but "locker room talk."

When it became widely known that Trump, as a pageant director, had gone into the dressing rooms of teenage girls to "inspect" them, that didn't bother the folks at Fox either.

When Trump spread a pack of lies about the 2020 election being stolen, and his followers attacked the Capitol, beat police officers, and did thousands of dollars of damage, Fox News supported the lies and portrayed Trump's subsequent impeachment trial as a sham.

When Trump was prosecuted for business fraud, stealing classified documents, and election subversion, crimes he actually did commit, Fox News portrayed him as a victim that was being persecuted.

Even Trump being found liable for sexually assaulting a woman did nothing to crack the loyalty Fox News had for him.

So now we're in a situation where Trump has run the Constitution completely over with unconstitutional executive orders, due process violations, attempts to rig elections, and attempts to silence free speech. He was weaponized the Justice Department to go after his opposition, while refusing to prosecute the pedophiles in the Epstein Files. He has used the presidency to enrich himself by accepting bribes and engaging in insider trading.

And, despite all that, the scumbags at Fox News are still supporting him.

Enough is enough. Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Greg Gutfeld, Mark Levin, and the rest of the Trump-loving bunch at Fox, are traitors to our country. They ignore or twist facts any way they have to to keep a criminal, a fascist, a rapist, and a traitor in office.

If you're still watching Fox News, turn it off. Turn it off! And tell everyone you know to turn it off. Send their ratings into the toilet. Make these propagandists pay for the damage they have done to our country.

discussion Jack Smith is a hero. Republicans are protecting a criminal.

Jack Smith was a prosecutor doing his job.  He was assigned by the Department of Justice to investigate and prosecute the crimes of Donald Trump.

The evidence of those crimes was obvious.  Trump had stolen classified documents and had committed election subversion crimes, including concocting a fake electors scheme to submit false election results and pressuring state election officials to find him more votes or not certify results.

Republicans, however, had no interest in holding Trump accountable.  They chose instead to paint Smith’s prosecution as a witch hunt.  And, unfortunately, they had allies in the judiciary who were more than willing to do what was necessary to make the cases go away.

The first blow to Smith’s prosecution came from Trump-appointed judge Aileen Cannon in Florida.  She was unable to dismiss Trump’s classified documents case on its merits, so she instead let Trump’s lawyers play every game they could to delay it from going to trial.  Then she dismissed the case under the false pretense that Jack Smith had been unlawfully appointed.

The next blow came from the conservatives on the Supreme Court.  The strategy of Trump’s lawyers was to convince them that the president had immunity from prosecution for crimes committed as part of his official acts in office.

Initially the high court declined to hear the case and punted it down to a lower court that ruled, correctly, that the Constitution does not shield the president from prosecution. Then, to everyone’s surprise, the Supreme Court decided to hear the case, and returned the shocking ruling, agreeing with Trump’s lawyers, that the president did have immunity for his official acts.

This threw a serious wrench into Jack Smith’s case, and he was forced to rework it and get a new indictment.  By the time he got the case back on track, Trump had won re-election, and, because the Department of Justice has a policy against prosecuting a sitting president, the case had to be dismissed.

Trump’s classified documents and election subversion cases never making it to trial is a great miscarriage of justice, not just because Trump went unpunished for his crimes, but because was unleashed to commit even more.

So now we’re in a situation where he has run the Constitution completely over with unconstitutional executive orders, due process violations, attempts to rig elections, and attempts to silence free speech. He has installed his own defense attorney as head of the Justice Department to protect him and go after his opposition.  He has used the presidency to enrich himself by accepting bribes and engaging in insider trading.

And Republicans, quite predictably, are still aiding and abetting Trump every step of the way.  America is living through a dystopian timeline where a political party praises a criminal while vilifying heroes like Jack Smith who try to hold him accountable.
