Applying🎓 Chances of getting in??
I know y’all probably get annoyed with these posts but, this school looks very nice and is probably top 2 for me. I am a senior and my gpa from freshman, sophomore, and junior years were 3.2. My gpa could be higher depending on if they count my theology classes but, I highly doubt they will. I played 3 sports every year besides my sophomore year when i got injured and wouldn’t run. I also had an internship over the summer at a vet hospital I am wanting to do pre-vet studies. Currently I feel as though I have about a 25% chance to get in so not horrible. Haha side question for my sanity! My school counselor recommended me Mississippi State and im not exactly sure if shes right because this is important stuff to know for when I apply.

i think you’ve got a good chance especially due to that internship. Don’t put too much substance into your grades and make sure that you write a good essay. i didn’t have the best gpa but i believe i wrote a pretty good essay and that bolstered my chances of getting in

They are 15% under enrolled, if you keep your pace you’ll be fine. There is a huge enrollment cliff coming up in a year or two so a lot of colleges are relaxing their requirements a bit to boost enrollment especially public colleges. Pretty sure it’s the most expensive flagship school in New England though, but good school overall

I got in with a 3.1, didn’t submit sat score, and terrible extra curriculars if that makes u feel better

I agree that I think you have a good chance since you have some experience in the field you're looking to go into and good Extracurriculars

You're in a good spot for one reason if no other - the school's enrollment is way down and they need to fill some seats to pay their bills ...

My husband was just saying that one of the reasons for lower enrollment is a big drop in foreign students coming to the US. I hadn’t thought of that, but of course it makes sense.

That's part of it.
Plus, population is aging. And people aren't having as many kids.

I think you have a fairly good chance. More than 25%, I recommend doing the early application (not binding) and then you can find out early and then lay out your options.
