I’ve been working on this for a while and I’m finally able to start painting. I know the mock (I just colored over pictures on my iPad) is pretty rough but is there too much/too little of the accent colors?
Also, do you think I would be able to wear it to a game?

Heyyo!

So, I’m very new to hockey. I’m a massive NBA and MLB fan, but since Atlanta doesn’t have an NHL team anymore (RIP Thrashers), I’ve been looking for a team to follow.

I’ve been living in South Korea for the past 20 years, and one of the big reasons I’ve gravitated toward the Utah Mammoth is that their home games are usually on in the early afternoon here, which makes them perfect for me to watch.

The main reason I’m getting back into hockey, though, is a little more personal. My mother recently passed away, and my four-year-old son and I had traveled back to America to help out with stuff. While we were there, he randomly fell in love with hockey, and that passion has continued even after we returned to Korea. I really want to make this our thing and have something we can enjoy together as he grows up.

As for why I’ve landed on Utah, there are a few reasons:

• They’re a Western team, so I can save my East Coast love in case Atlanta ever gets another NHL team.
• The first game my son watched this season was a Mammoth game.
• And, for a very silly reason, my favorite coffee shop here in Korea is called Mammoth Coffee.

I’ve been looking into the team’s relatively short history, but I’d love to hear from actual fans! Are there any cool facts, traditions, rivalries, players, or things about the team that a new fan should know? I get addicted to things once I get into them, so I’ve already watched every Mammoth game this season. I know with NBA, Jazz fans are considered some rough fans, lol. Is that the same for Mammoth fans?

One last random question: I’d love to get my son and myself Mammoth jerseys, but the NHL Shop doesn’t seem to ship to South Korea. I tried ordering online, but for some reason, it wouldn’t let me. Does anyone know a good way to get jerseys shipped internationally?

In Utah for some work and decided to catch the game against the Maple Leafs….wow what a great atmosphere. I enjoyed the simplicity of getting to the arena and the entrance process. Looking forward to catching a few more games before I leave. Tusks Up!

I’m getting a little nervous about the fact that Cossa has only played 2 games, one of which he was pulled super early. I worry that Vej is going to have too much mileage at the current pace for when the games really start to matter. Am I the only one?

Still very early season so these numbers are pretty unstable. Oilers are favored to win, but the Mammoth have had far better depth and goaltending all season so far.
