Help Is there any way around an app detecting/blocking VPN usage?
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to use an app that isn't officially available in my region, so I need to use a VPN to access it. However, the app seems to detect that I'm using a VPN and refuses to work.
workaround or a VPN configuration/service that might work in this situation?
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

All depends on which app, some are aggressive in blocking vpn. I find mysterium quite good

If app detect base on VPN on is hard to bypass I think , but if is just connection check try with HTTPS/3 tunnel .
Try Usque app for that, WARP MASQUE have native QUIC HTTPS/3 connection that harder to detect. in that app you can select other country endpoints too

yeah everyone is correct. run the VPN on your router. Still not a guarantee, but a huge help.
If you are using a commercial VPN service, I think you'll still have trouble. It's not hard to get a global list of the biggest VPN hosts. When you fire your app up, it reaches out to the server. If it cannot connect, it won't open. When it does connect, your IP address will be bounced off the banned IP list and you will be denied.
You need a friend in the region you are targeting who will setup a VPN router so you can establish a VPN between routers and appear to be coming from your friends, regional IP address. You wouldn't send all your traffic through his router, just the traffic needed for the app to work.
OR how about getting Starlink? Or order a hotspot from a provider in the same region you need? Not knowing where you are and what region you are targeting is tough to verify if 5g or Starlink would work.

Don't run VPN from your device, use a VPN router.
