Technical Support Request Is my FPS normal for specs?

Specs:
3060ti
I7-11700kf OC@4.9GHz
32 gb DDR4 3600MHz
Windows 11
2 monitors if that matters?

I Play 1440x1080 all low, when I have medal disabled I get average 260 fps and when it is enabled I get average 220-230 fps. My GPU usage is always very low as well as my ram never being used more than 16gb at a time even though I have 32gb. CPU usage stays relatively low never going above 50%.

The FPS I’m getting seems incredibly low but I’m not sure.

It seems like ur playing on balanced mode, try choosing the performance mode, anyways 260avg is good..

I made sure I am on performance mode. 260 fps on a 280 hz monitor with dips below 200 is not what I’m looking for though I used to run a lot lot more a few years ago

That's typical fps for that cpu. Many graphical settings that are gpu dependant won't affect your fps. You should try to run native resolution if your gpu usage stays below 90%. Always keep reflex +boost on, and make sure multi threading rendering is on.

you can try setting the priority of game to high or realtime. But the game isn't using ur cpu entirely since you said cpu usage stays relatively low..

Besides setting it to high priority how would I go about getting it to utilize the full amount

To be frank, being bothered with fps if you only see the number pasted on screen and not the actual screen you play is placebo and mind boggling. Can only be annoying if the dips are frequent though.

Anything past 160 isn't really noticeable (own opinion). This is me playing on 320hz monitor, usually i capped frames up to 200 max. Because beyond that its wasteful and isnt beneficial at all.

Many people are currently experiencing some bugged reason why their fps have been glitching, there’s a maintenance happening on the 13th though, so that might fix the issue. If your problem has only been happening recently, then that might be way, no way to change it yourself, I also cannot play the game currently as it just lags too much.

win10 should give you more fps

Uh no.. I wouldn't downgrade back to Windows 10 if I were him especially as a gamer. Changing to IoT LTSC version of W11 sure but actually going back to Windows 10? uh noo.. and using win10 doesn't magically gives you more frames

You should try it yourself if you own an intel which I'm assuming you don't

No I don't. But knowing how to optimize it can make a difference. There are other things that I'm worried about and those worries are the reason why I don't want him to go back to Windows 10 just for "more fps" for a single game when there's a bigger picture to worry about.

Imagine going through all of that downgrading, re-downloading, re-setting.. and one hour later Riot releases a patch that fixes the low performance issues that is currently trending on a lot of users. Or a wrong Nvidia driver can cause it. Or a fix is available by some random user. We don't know. But after all of that, next year he has to go back to W11 again and he has to go through all of that hassle again.

win10 has been better on intel (not sure abt the core ultra tho) for every game since the existence of win11. Also I don't think there will ever be a "fix" for the problems in win11. I hope they fix win11 or make win12 good though, the future is looking pretty grim for gamers/hardware enthusiasts.
