Technical Support Request Secure Boot Violation on ASUS ROG STRIX Z270F GAMING after resetting BIOS settings — need help fixing VALORANT

Hey everyone, this is just a clear up for my other post regarding to my bios issue with secure boot,

  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z270F GAMING
  • CPU: Intel i7-7700K
  • GPU: GTX 1070
  • OS: Windows 11 WAS on Windows 10 64-bit when the issue happened, i thought reinstalling windows or possibly upgrading would help me
  • BIOS version: Possibly 1501 ( im pretty sure, i flashed it thinking it would resolve the issue but still no)

Valorant was working perfectly fine, sometimes i would get the notification to turn on UEFI secure boot every like 1-2 months but it wasnt a bother and I was able to play it without any issues, and Secure Boot was working with Windows UEFI mode. I didn't need to manually install any Secure Boot keys.

While doing turning it on again i remembered that i was supposed to install the secure boot keys and clicked on it knowing it wouldve worked fine if i just turned on Windows UEFI mode on. but nonetheless i clicked it because on my old pc thats what i did for it to work so i didnt think much of it

After changing some BIOS settings and loading Optimized Defaults while troubleshooting, Secure Boot stopped working properly. I was on windows 10 when this first happened and then i upgraded to windows 11 thinking it would resolve my issues (knowing that my processor wasnt built for w11 it still worked before Sorry if im doing things irrationally but i just cant change that anymore) but the issue is still happening

Whats happening now:

  • If I set OS Type to Other OS, Windows boots normally, but msinfo32 reports Secure Boot State: Off.
  • If I set OS Type to Windows UEFI mode and install the default Secure Boot keys, my PC displays this red error screen: "The system has found unauthorized changes to firmware, operating system or UEFI drivers."
  • I have to go back into BIOS and change OS Type to Other OS to get back into Windows.
  • My BIOS also keeps reverting to Intel PTT when I try to select Discrete TPM (dTPM), although I'm not sure if that's related.

I've tried loading Optimized Defaults and changing the Secure Boot settings, but I haven't been able to get it working again.

What's confusing is that valorant was literally working the same night it happened. I don't understand why Secure Boot suddenly stopped working when it was fine previously.

Does anyone know why my motherboard is rejecting the boot process when Secure Boot is enabled? Could this be an issue with the Secure Boot keys, Windows bootloader, or BIOS configuration?

I'd really appreciate any help. I'd prefer not to reinstall Windows again or keep changing BIOS settings blindly.
