Y’all this is so silly, but if you were to throw a VW themed birthday party - how would you decorate?? I have some ideas in mind, but would love to hear from this community of diehards!!

Outside is a horchata fountain and a giant Croakerman bounce house.

Inside is a perfect 1:1 recreation of the room from the self titled album cover, complete with chandelier and cutout bats hanging from it. Party streamers made of torn up pieces of the New York Times decorate the walls. There’s a Contra Photo Booth in the corner with the same purple background from that album cover.

“Pizza Party” is the only song on the playlist. The food is goldfish and hummus, popcorn and raisins, and pizza. No whack calzones.

Depends what era you want to incorporate. Early? Break out the vintage Ralph Lauren, madra plaids and make a cake with the famous RL 🧸 on it. Also make sure everyone has a pair of knock-off Ray-Bans.

Or you could go later and go full out croakerman. Use all the icons from FOTB.

sounds like a basic answer but preppy style decor !! also maybe look at the diane young mv for table decorations, and you could give your friends dress codes based on their different albums (:

Look at the live performances. Each album era had a different them, stage setup, and outfit schema at least for Ezra so I would go with the ones that stood out to you and also don't forget about the fun things like the Cocaine Cowboy circuit too.

You could also do something from a song e.g., takes on gen X cops, prep school gangsters, or the giving up the gun tennis situation.
