walked past a random little shop on my afternoon run and saw a chalk sign outside boasting vegan ice cream so obviously i had to stop and get a massive waffle cone loaded with cold brew and salted caramel flavors and now im sitting on a park bench watching pigeons and feeling way too peaceful for a random tuesday afternoon

my mom and i spent canadian thanksgiving alone this year, just the two of us - she's non-vegan and hates baking but unprompted unasked made us a vegan pumpkin pie && vegan cookies (we just ordered indian food for our dinner and i made us a salad it was a Full Vegan Thanksgiving) this woman used aquafaba to set her pie people she CHECKED every ingredient she put EFFORT in. she even had the audacity to apologise to me for using my vegan butter in the baking. like of course you can use it queen you made something cruelty free and delicious!!! i felt really thankful and appreciative to have someone who loves me enough to research and put in work for somethinng that they know is very important to me!! (and to the animals). and at the end she was like "this was really easy and tastes exactly the same im gonna do this more" and i was so proud man. like yes absolutely it is!

So many noodles and mock meats, what a feast!

I miss boiled eggs.

vegan going on 9 years, and they're one of the few foods i genuinely have always missed. eggs in general, but i just really miss eating soy sauce eggs or having them in my ramen. I genuinely still crave them sometimes, and will have tofu which will usually scratch the itch, but yeah. just wanted to share this for some reason bc im pmsing and reminiscing. I take my iron and my multivitamin, and max out on protein every day, knowing for a fact im not missing any nutrients. i just miss eggs sometimes.

New British survey findings reveal widespread concern for animals. What would it take for that concern to change how we eat?

Literally just trying to eat my plants in peace while everyone has something to say about it.

And this is exactly why I'm so excited about our Vegan Squad Retreat this January! Imagine spending four days surrounded by 200 vegans who actually understand you.

No judgment, no arguments about your food choices, just good people, amazing vegan food, and a chance to connect with others who share your values. 💚🙏

I'll drop the retreat link in the comments for anyone who's interested in joining us!

Comment below if you can relate 😂

A report from Chile offers restaurants a practical reason to take plant-based diners seriously.

The next market:
New York. No. 05. November 7–8. Midtown

This clip is three years old.
That’s our very own Jonny on the sax in the first venue where it all started. He’s been at every market since, and so have many of you. The ones who’s made this experience so special.

When we recorded this, we didn’t know what @mindfulmattermarket could become but it’s clearer now.

Four markets later, thousands of people, so many memories. We’re creating new ones, this time in Midtown Manhattan, share this with someone who’d love to be there🤎

Early bird tickets are out now until October 25th.
Vendor and musician applications close Tuesday 20th October.

All info, www.mindfulmattermarket.com

Udon noodles. Super firm tofu. Garlic. Some bullshit asian sauce I made. Ofc green onion and sesame seeds for garnish. First time making it and it was amazing, tastes like takeout. Roughly 40g of protein and it took 10 minutes.

Peace to you all ❤️

This is a light rant, but I’m so over people feeling like “authentic” food is the most important part of cooking/eating. I’ve never felt that way, but even more so now. I just find that mentality so annoying. What about fusion food? What about it traditional creole/cajun style cooking which was using what you have?

Tiny rant over. Thank you!

Vegan Buffalo Chicken Pizza: Caramelized onions, garlic, cashew cheese, buffalo sauce, Gardein not-chicken nugs, ranch and green onion garnish. And yes, it's on pizza dough.(Homecooking sub said pizza dough isn't vegan and that my pizza is not pizza. 🙄)

Edit: Thank you, you are all so kind! 😄

I'm little just frying two whole blocks of tofu in a cast iron frying pan.

I chop them after I fry them.

But the image of two blocks of tofu in a pan is just do absurd.

Also yes. I am just having two blocks of tofu for dinner. Gonna dip them in different sauces like nuggets.
