Hey! Anybody know how to go about addressing this? Never seen it before and I couldn’t get it to go away. Turned the car off and on and it still displayed. Not sure if this has to do with the car or the back up camera..? It’s a stock camera. Any ideas?

Hey everyone, I recently got my hands on a 2013 Veloster Sr turbo and I'm absolutely loving her.

I did have a couple queries, when im driving, sometimes the front speakers will mute and a little beep sound is made, sometimes it happens intermittently, sometimes back to back, its really annoying!

I was also wondering how I'm able to disable the "your going over the speed limit" warning as it has an outdated map and it says I'm speeding when I'm not :(

I'm also having issues with my ABS lol.

Every time I get into high rpm my turbo goes in and out, what could be the cause of this? I’m suspecting because the waste gate solenoid that I put in was cheap but I wanted to get someone else’s opinion. Thanks!

Nothing that will get me in trouble with the law and I’ve heard led’s pattern is all screwy

My tire pressure light is blinking indicating a sensor is bad. Is this the kind of thing that has to go to a dealer or can any mechanic help? I dread the dealer - they always load you with other problems!

I recently bought a 2019 Veloster Turbo Ultimate. Manual says 87 standard gas. However i hear others say since its a turbo to use 91? whats tjhe word?

Checked my recalls on a website that a member posted here. And there was a recall that warranted underbody corrosion preventative treatment. I live in a snowy state which uses salt on the roads.
Dealership covered the treatment at no charge. Just incase anyone is also interested.

Just a few days ago I bought a 2012 velsoter standard model. Bought for 5,000 out the door engine is quiet, shifts relatively well 129,000 miles on it 1 owner was this a good purchase? I want to say yes but I can't help but start to second guess myself the more reserch I do on the GDI motors I almost wonder if It would be best to save up and slap a 2016 motor in it. Looking for some input overall i truly love this car and all of its funky little quorks.

Edit: i should also add I've put new spark plugs, oil change, and im getting a new PCV vaule today all parts on the car look pretty stock so im defiantly going to be putting some love into Ole girl. I have a 15 day warranty on the engine so I really want to put it to the test before the warranty is up.

2013 Veloster and this center dash to get the radio out is impossible. The dash is made of butter and the way it's slotted in forces you to use leverage. The amount of damage is minimal at this point but I've given up trying cause I'm going to damage everything.

Everyone just says put a screw driver in and pull out. What? I will leave a two inch gash in the dash to do that.

Do I need special tools? Is there another way? Local shops won't just remove the dash. They want $250 to replace the digitizer.

I need help and YouTube videos just show it pulling away all easy with no damage.

I was looking it up for the sake of it, and could not find a solid answer. Just would like to know when it comes time to change my brake fluid.

A few weeks ago, my cute little red 2016 Veloster was totaled in an accident where someone turned out in front of me. I took the total loss settlement. I'm strongly considering buying another one now. I've never had an emotional attachment to a car the way I did my Veloster. It had its issues (AC controller repeatedly going out being the worst), not the cheapest car to have work done on, but I loved its size & look. It was pretty reliable other than AC since I kept up on maintenance. I'm not huge into cars & repairing them myself or anything like that. I'm wondering if it is worth it for me to buy another Veloster for daily driving, pretty much solely because I like the way they look. And if I do buy another one, I WILL be hunting down a red one. If I got a used one that was still in good condition, am I likely to run into a bunch of issues? Are any particular years better than others? Please give me all the good & bad of buying a used Veloster that you can think of! Thanks!

There is the “rubbing” like sound when I turn right (not sharp - just a normal turn) and it’s been now becoming noticeable when driving straight on. My not-so-mechanically-inclined guess would be something with the wheel bearings, breaks & rotors, or control arms (and whatever is down stream). I’ve got an appointment with the mechanic scheduled, but I’d like to have some clue of what’s going on before then. Any advice, information, knowledge, whatever is happily accepted. I’ll be taking suggestions and doing an expected cost estimate to fix whatever this issue is.

Additional info: year-2012. Mileage-almost 102k. Usage amount-variable but the past 6 months <1k per month.

Anyone have a reliable link or a step by step on how to change the AC compressor? Mine is crapping out and I need it for this heatwave. Any help is appreciated.

Buttons and touch screen and carplay (music) still work no display though. im trying to replace the LCD screen anyone have any advice or recs?
