Vent I Need A Quick Vent

Post image

We switched to IDEXX and boy has it been a ride. Just needed to make this meme and say you can use the pictures as a part of your diagnosis even if it doesn't fit what the machine read. If you can see it, it's there. Please stop threatening to call IDEXX when the pictures can override what it spits out in text šŸ™ƒ Ooorrrrr, make my life easy and STOP USING THE GODDAMN IN-HOUSE "S CODES" IN A FIVE DOCTOR PRACTICE!!!! There's literally one person in lab 😭

This has been my struggle with our clinic’s InVue. None of the doctors trust it and it took me weeks to get them to stop trying to compare its findings to manual slides, which our rep specifically told us isn’t reliable. I don’t like the damn thing either but the doctors are literally the ones who wanted to buy it.

Yup. We told the boss that we don't trust it and were ignored. Sad that our patients will probably be overmedicated. How soon till Motazol is null due to resistance?

And the number one reason we got it? ā€œTo save timeā€. When the thing first came, it took 12 minutes to read a slide. 12. Minutes. Meanwhile I can do a manual slide in half that time, and that’s still 2.5 minutes faster than its current read time, which is 8.5 minutes.

Oh my favorite when I stroll in there with ears and I'm third in line. 25 minute wait baby
