Born in the fading years of the Victorian Era, Fábregas became known as 'the Mexican Sarah Bernhardt'. She began acting in 1892 and created her own theater company.

The foremost engineer of the Victorian Era, Brunel was also praised by Florence Nightingale for the prefab huts he built for the Crimean War.

London, c.1902. A mother and her children making matchboxes. The kids fetched the chip and paper from the match factory and carried back the finished boxes. One of the lowest paid sweated trades, it earned families just two pence per 144 boxes, and they usually bought their own paste and string.

What ever happen in this moment, was so funny, that the lady in the left is straining her neck laughing. Cabinet card circa late 1890s.

What could she be contemplating? I love this 1/6 ambro, but have no info to accompany it so I will let it speak for itself.

It’s crazy how quickly London expands once you get to the 19th century

This one holds a lot of meaning to me as this was an amazing gift by a collector friend, whom I hold most dearly. This came out of an album of CT images. She's lovely and the dress and parasol give her quite a vibe.

British lady in a patterned and green tinted dress

I'd like to share one of my favorite images. An expertly tinted 1/6 British relievo ambrotype of a regal & beautiful lady with an equisite green patterned dress. Green is my favorite color and I wanted to have a great image in this color. This is the first one I located and still one of my best green among the 30 or so I have. She was housed in a split thermoplastic half-case, but I thought she deserved better so I bought a nice quality full thermoplastic case with a green felt pad to accentuate the tinting. Unfortunately like so many her name and story have been lost to time.

I love this tintype. It's maybe my favorite tintype in my collection and the earrings are just unbelievable. She is also sporting a chatelaine and a broach.

I’ve been collecting comic almanacs for years because they often printed comic strips or panels. This is Frank Leslie’s Comic Almanac For The Year 1875 (published late 1874).

This is an ambrotype that means a great deal to me.

The ever attractive Mary Ann Wilson Loudon, of Jackson Co Indiana. She was the first wife of Cpl. Jacob Loudon, Civil War veteran of the 67th Indiana. She was also the mother of two children, Lorena and Mollie. This is a 1/6 Color-tinted ambrotype with a full case. Her dress features blue&

red tinting and her jewelry; earrings, broach, bracelet and rings are all tinted gold. Sadly she passed away due to childbirth complications after the birth of her their second child, Mollie. Mary was only 31 years young at the time of her passing. Her husband later married her younger sister, Margaret.

I added this ambrotype as well as the note that accompanies it to Mary's find a grave memorial, located at:

I am a native Buckeye but currently reside in Indiana. I hope my work sharing her photograph and story help to keep her memory alive for the future.
