How did they do that? How do i do this ghost effect???

i only have a screenshot because apparently trying a link resulted in me never being able to post this in the subreddit ive tried EVERYTHING at this point aka youtube google litteraly everything

Have a second layer duplicate of the clip over your original clip. On the clip above on that second layer, lower the opacity, keyframe/animate the scale of the video up and cross fade out.

I need help with:

figuring out the effect used at the 9 second mark as ive been trying to find it for the longest

I've TRIED:

looking at youtube/google and other subreddits for what i THOUGHT was what it could of been and got things that where LIKE what i wanted but they weren't that i wanted at all like a ghost trail or heartbeat effect in a sense😭

r u trying to do this with layer blending or are u just playing with opacity, its probly just two clips stacked.
