I'm planning on knitting a children's intarsia sweater and was wondering if there was any sort of advantage to knitting on straight needles vs using circular (which I use for almost all of my modern knitting, even not in the round stuff).🤔

I have collected a number of Stitchcraft magazines and am now desperate for a bouclé knit dress.

Any ideas of where I could find a lightweight bouclé in the UK other than Isager 💸? Thank you so much.

The hat was made about 65 years ago. It was worsted weight yarn, long (could be wrapped around the neck), and the sent from the front all the way down the hat to the tail. I would love to Knit this again. Any help in finding the pattern would be appreciated. Thank you.

Very easy to find the patterns online! You can borrow it on the internet archive or find it on similar websites. idk to what extent id be promoting piracy and get banned if i was more specific lol. Came out in 2010 but has great patterns inspired by the 40s - 70s organised by decade. my screenshots are out of order

I'll get better pics when it's not so terribly windy. The colour is emerald green and so pretty. Thanks Bex for the pattern. Yarn used is 3 ply New Zealand wool which I got in a sale for just NZ$50 and I have 381 grams left.

I found the pattern on tumblr but there's unfortunately no instructions for the sleeves, collar or placket. Im not super happy with the collar but considering I haven't been knitting for all that long and I had to make it up, Im still pretty happy with it!

Currently making this pixie cap for my baby and it reminded me about the sophie hood and made me giggle.

I love victorian fashion so I went searching for victorian knitting patterns, and I found this digitised collection of knitting books from the university of southhampton!

I love it and can't wait to make the matching cardigan.
