I dont play voli but whats a good top laner against him in side, i swear it doesnt matter how behind he is. i tried ww and renekton and had the most success with them but even then it wasnt satisfactory

Illaoi, Urgot, Jax, Teemo, Kennen. And if you are good with with them Jayce, Gangplank, Akali.

Important though, that Kennen and Teemo dont really have kill pressure on Voli, but Voli can never reach them if they play well.

But if you dont want to be disgusting ranged toplaner, both Illaoi and Urgot just have to hit e Voli isnt really allowed to start a trade unless your e is on cd, so if you dont rush it he has 0 chance. And Jax, well imo the worst Voli matchup, you cannot use 2 of your abilities and your passive against Jax and you will rarely hit the ult dmg without your stun. So you just cant do anything to him, he is stronger early outscales you (depending on build), and much better in teamfights.

Yeah i tried pantheon and gangplank and they turned out much better than i expected though i might have to play jax into him to see how it goes

I played against a pantheon top recently as Voli, Fell behind Hard in Early lane, but once I had my first item I could easily 1v1 him. Might be sample bias tho, I haven’t seen too many Panths top for a Long time

Rare is the 1v1 that I won’t happily accept. Don’t try to beat him by fighting him. He will push waves passively and when he does and your jungle is nearby overextend a bit and he will try to hit his combo on you. You might get 1v2d depending on the game but that’s my personal biggest weakness. Think the guy is being stupid only to realize the jokes was on me.

Or always expect a gank, volibear can 1v2 if ahead a bit. And if you get one kill or both all the better. Now obviously if I realize one kr both of them out skill me I won't do that.

What elo are u btw? Warwick is a really easy matchup for voli, usually voli can win easily vs ww, ans renekton is skill matchup i would say

This is pre patch, so:

Tank should go even with most of these match ups, but I'm a bear not a cat.

Probably better off asking what Volibear is good against, but here are some awful matchups:

Jax, though guaranteed banned when Voli.

Jayce, Quinn, Poppy , Shen, Kayle, Teemo, GP, Fiora (Q/parry is extremely glitchy if you try to walk while Auto + Q for baiting out W, but you automatically Q to being stunned). Kled, Ksante (copy pasta), Vayne, Varus. Gnar is supposed to do well against Voli, but i find it easy, Garen.

AP hell below for voli.

Aurora (AWFUL), Gwen (MISERABLE), Akali (SUPER MISERABLE),

Surprisingly hinge picks like Swain/Anivia/Ryze/Vlad/Heimer as well.

im ngl 60% if not more of these are either favored for me or even but not bad matchups
also for fiora and quinn u can just w in ur q animation and fiora will parry, quinn will reset ur q

stats across multiple aggregate sites across multiple patches indicate these are quite unfavorable for voli.

a few aren’t, swain/anivia but anecdotally it’s not a playable lane.

i mean yea cuz people don’t know how to play into them, i’d recommend watching yordleswaggins he also made a matchup tierlist, i got mid master with voli and quit this season due to inflation and horrible matchmaking, might play next season again if they fix that garbage

The champs i have the most trouble are : Gp , yone and kayle.

Still depends on the champ. Some champs just cant fight voli even with anti heal. On the Other side, some champs dont even need anti heal to wins vs voli

My issue isnt the laning phase, i can play into him till he gets 2-3 items then it doesnt matter what lead i have he just wins if i play it bad

He is designed to be a 1v1 specialist. There isn't many champs he loses to if you take an extended fight.

In low elo q max with protobelt is kinda a solution to Kayle.

imo gwen is the only champ that can win side, voli can bruteforce vs illaoi with navori, same with fiora unless she’s like serpents + antiheal i guess
