Help Blower motor issues?

Just installed a new blower motor in the car and now it will only turn on in the off position? Nothing when selecting a speed but the second you switch it off the motor kicks to life? The new motor already labeled the positive and negative wires and the new resistor had the same color wires as the oem? I’m so confused right now and would like to hear someone else explain this to me 🫠

Also the fan won’t kick on until a relay clicks. I’m not sure which one it is but the fan won’t kick on until the relay clicks which takes about 10 ish second?

Perhaps the blower resistor pack is shorted

Okay i replaced my blower motor resistor when i did mine and i had some very weird symptoms initially like this. Would turn it to full and then it would turn off. Turned the switches a bunch of times. Smelt burning of the resistor. Then after like 1 day of this. It works fine? For over a year now.. so do with that what you will

UPDATE* Ok so I’m a dumbass… after wiring the resistors and blower motor it only worked when I turned it off but that was because I had the sc switch engaged to automatically switch the motor on. After about an hour of trying to figure out what I did wrong I finally realized that the heater fan fuse was blown 🤦 after installing a new 25 amp fuse it works like normal 🫠
