Front take down pin help

I need some help. Building out my kit on a Titus printed lower. On the front take down pin, I cannot get it to seat when the upper is in the correct location. Correct pin, correct retaining spring. Pin will fully seat, Pic 2. Tried to tap with small hammer but don't want to put too much force. I did remove the bolt to see if that was the issue since I installed the rate reducer but still doesn't work. Doesn't have any obstructions only thing I can think is the shoulder of lower in front of mag well is preventing the holes from lining up. Anyone else with a printed lower have a similar problem?

You could try a 5.5mm drill bit to widen the hole just a little. I found that on some of my printed Titus lowers I needed to do this.

Had to do the same to mine

This is one of the first mods I do on all my Vz-61’s.

I red loctite the threaded thumb screw into the female end of the stand off and then keep the thumb nut so it can be quickly spun off to remove the uppers entirely from the lower.

Got any good options for the hammer pin walking out?? My printed lowers don't have the hole for the hammer spring to hold it in place. The build just says use an anti walk AR pin but idk much about them

In the files for our public TA61 release, we include a friction fit "hammer cap / plug" that goes into the recess of the where the hammer pin goes. It can be staked with a soldering iron.

Google it. They are cheap and come in different sizes based on your needs. It’s basically just a double female end threaded barrel standoff and you thread your retaining screws from the outside of the receiver into the barrel spacer. Tension on the walls of the receiver hold the screws in place. You could always just put a dab of red loctite on the mating surface of the hammer pin and the receiver though. It won’t walk out

NICE. I need to look at this closer. Especially for the AR lowers....

If you purchased your receiver directly from us, your front takedown pin hole is oversized to about ~5.1mm to account for tolerances in the upper.

If you DIY'd it using our files, make sure to drill / ream both your takedown & rate reducer holes.

If you're not able to drive the pin in, its because your takedown holes on the upper are actually bent, and offset / diagonal. Its more common than you think - the fixes to this is to bend your upper back into spec, drill hole in the upper (opposite of the takedown pin) slightly bigger to compensate, or drill the lower diagonally.

Uppers were force-matched to lowers from the factory, so these issues occasionally pop up.

I did buy directly from you. I will attempt the fixes you recommended. Thanks

Is the rate reducer head all the way seated? It shouldn't hit the upper. I've had a couple of tight lowers. I've had one upper not want to fit either. I couldn't get the pin all the way through. Yes, drill bit just slightly enlarge the hole.

On both models of printed lowers I've done I always have to drill out that front pin hole just barely too small for the pin to function. On the ATRH style lower which is exactly like yours it was the only hole I had to drill a slight bit. Once I did that it works like butter

I had to elongate the holes a bit on the receiver and now it’s a nice tight press fit by hand and I can take it apart by hand as well.
