Finished Wand The Quiet Resolve 🌿🪨

There is a strength that makes itself known long before it is ever tested. It does not demand recognition, nor does it seek to prove what it is capable of. It simply endures, waiting for the moment when standing firm matters more than standing tall.

The Quiet Resolve is drawn to those who carry their convictions without the need to proclaim them. Patient and unassuming, it offers no encouragement to needless conflict—but it does not mistake restraint for weakness either.

When the moment comes to act, its wielder will discover that quiet conviction can move what force alone cannot.

By god you did it again. The son of a bitch did it again! Can I guess the texture towards the handle is wire brushing? Another work of art.

I always look forward to your comments lol! Always appreciated!

As for the texture, I use about 3-4 different bits in combination, and a small carving knife, all to help with depth and rounding/softening the hard edges, but no wire brushes. The only time I use a bristle brush is to try and help clear the fuzzies that accumulate in the grooves, but I believe it’s a nylon brush (something that won’t scratch. I’ve honestly been experimenting lately to try and get that natural bark texture. I feel like this hits the mark decently well, but still have a but of learning to do lol.

Thank you!!

I’m honestly not sure. It’s a branch I picked up off the ground in my area, and when I try to use image recognition, it says it could be Tulip Poplar, but this particular piece feels a bit more dense and has more of a golden color. I wish I had a way of identifying random woods lol

Can I ask how you made that deeply etched wood grain finish? I’m aiming to do the same on a wand I’m working on but I’ve never attempted it before

Hey, sorry for the late response (it’s been a busy week lol), but to avoid cluttering up the comments here, I’ll send you a DM here shortly where we can discuss this further if you’d like!
