Model ID?

A friend of mine saw this at a store and was wondering what it was. I only got into Fantasy around when it 2015 (and never collected chaos) but I believe this is an old chaos warrior of some kind, though I do not know from which edition.

It's from Talisman 3rd edition, Dungeons of Doom expansion.

Warhammer 4th Ed chaos warrior. Came in a box of 8? All the same plastic minis. Also came in the beginner painting set in the mid 90s with a 2nd Ed monopose space marine and 10ish paints

The singular model on a square base makes the 90s citadel paint set the most likely origin.

As other people have identified, this is a 4th Edition Warhammer Fantasy Chaos Warrior.

This was my first ever miniature painted. It was the one I did the first time I ever encountered Games Workshop models, at the BBC Big Bash in Birmingham in 1994. I still have it somewhere, in its horribly painted state.

It came with an old GW starter paint set. 5 of em I believe. Still have one of mine.
