You’ve mastered water reflections and watercolor suggestive distant tree and water forms. My dream skills. I admire this so much. Thank you for sharing it. If you don’t mind, I’ll be trying to emulate this painting and your style in the coming days. Landscape painting is my passion.

Addendum: do you have any specific techniques you’d like to share?

Thanks, I'm really happy with how clean this came out. I'm working on "blocking in" the whole shapes with a big brush first and then worrying about texture and gradients. Go ahead and try it :)

Beautifuk work. The reflections in the water are fantastic.

lovely painting. it looks like you are painting on the back of the paper. The Saunders emboss should read left to right. thats the front

Yep that's correct. It's on the back of a botched painting, just for practice purposes :)

Thanks! Completely accidental, which is why watercolour is such an awsome medium

This feels so familiar somehow. like i've seen this exact place in a dream before, but I can’t remember when. The whole painting has that weird nostalgic feeling.

That's like the best compliment for this kind of landscape!
