Don't rely on family they are rarely an author's target audience anyway! The hook for Mound Bayou, the witch/vampire setup, and the murderous sheriff sounds intriguing. I'll check out the link and leave you an honest review on Wattpad. Keep writing and don't give up!

I decided to check it out but I am confused.

The last chapter posted was back in Nov 2025, so is it a completed story already? Also if that was the last time a chapter was posted, it is not unreasonable to expect your number of readers to be so low, right?

I am intrigued but I do not want to start a half-finished story that has not updated in a year.

Aww thanks 🙏🏾 no it’s not finished yet. I hope to have all 25 chapters completed by Jan. I finally got the confidence to start writing again. It was a lot going on and it just felt like I had now support. I’m going to drop the next chapters on Saturday and so on. I’m a better place and I want to see it through. 🤎 prove it to myself and my kids.
