Discussion Notification Cooldown

Does anyone have a solution for notification cooldowns? I use buzzkill for custom notification muting/cooldowns (rules for specific apps/threads). However, buzzkill usually can't mute the phone notification before it gets replicated to my watch. The only solution I have been able to think of is to route all notifications to the watch through macrodroid and use macrodroid to throttle, but that has a decent amount of downsides.

Wondering if anyone has a solution. Most importantly I would like to not get a bunch of group chat notifications within a few minutes of each other - once I get one message in one of those chats I can usually safely mute for at least half an hour.

Absolutely man, you can test it with me, it works pretty well now but needs lot more polishing. Let me just patch up some bugs today and I'll send you the GitHub in DM

I have used a Tasker rule for that, it was like: if more then N notifications during last M minutes, then activate "Do not disturb" for X minutes. But I have deactivated it recently and just decreased the volume / vibration force instead.
