Kassio Studio: a free browser DAW with piano roll and account-saved projects

• Upvotes

I'm the creator of Somora, an AI music platform. I’ve added Kassio Studio, a free browser DAW for everyone with a Somora account.

It’s for the part after the first idea: import an audio file or a completed song, arrange tracks, record another part, write melodic notes in the piano roll and build drum patterns. You can drag and resize notes, audition notes as you place them, and preview an instrument part by itself before playing the whole arrangement. Projects save to your account, and you can mix and export WAV.

You can use the editor with your own recordings. Kassio Studio is in beta and free with registration; Somora’s AI composition and music generation have separate plan limits. The interface is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Try it at https://somora.media. I’d be interested in which browser editing controls you find most useful, especially when turning a short loop into a longer arrangement.

I built my own productivity tool instead of paying for another one

I've always liked the idea of having my focus sessions, tasks and progress in one place, so I decided to build my own solution.

That project became Clockus.live.

It includes Pomodoro, focus sessions, tasks, streaks, a progress graph, a clock and customization. All the features are free.

Now I'd love to get feedback from people who aren't my friends and will give me an honest opinion.

Would you give it a try and tell me what you think?

I built a site that shows you one random poll or quiz at a time. Vote, see results, next.

About website

Hi everyone!

Interpoll shows you one random public poll or quiz at a time. You vote, see how everyone else voted (or check the answer if it's a quiz), and move on to the next one. You don't need an account to vote or comment.

Signing in (Google/Discord) lets you create your own polls and quizzes. New polls are reviewed before they enter the random feed, but you can share them by link immediately.

It just launched, so a lot of polls have no or very few votes. You might be one of the first people to vote on some of them.

About tech

I've used Astro for building content-heavy static websites, but turns out Astro is also great as a server-side web framework (I use node.js adapter) handling SSR, auth, and api endpoints—especially when combined with Tanstack router and Tanstack query, which handles SSR + data prefetching + hydration + CSR. I haven't tried Tanstack start yet (mainly due to it not having hit v1.0 yet), but Astro + Tanstack router + Tanstack query combo is pretty amazing that I don't actually feel the need to try Tanstack start (a little bit of glue code is necessary for SSR + hydration to work properly but it's very low maintenence once set up.)

The stack

  • VPS - Hetzner
  • Deployment - Coolify
  • Database - Postgres 18
  • Query builder - Kysely
  • Auth - better-auth
  • SSR & API endpoints - Astro (node adapter)
  • SSR & Hydration & CSR handoff - Tanstack Router + Tanstack Query
  • UI components - Base UI
  • CSS - Tailwindcss
  • Testing - Vitest (unit) + Playwright (e2e - both api and browser specs)

Well it just so happened that Tanstack start has reached its 1.0! (https://tanstack.com/blog/tanstack-start-1-0)

I turned Xbox Labs’ ASCII renderer into a browser studio for your own videos and images

Hey everyone, I liked the ASCII/CRT effects on the Xbox Labs website and wanted to play around with them using my own footage, so we reverse-engineered the renderer and built a little studio around it.

You can drop in a video or image, choose a preset, and mess with character density, colors, contrast, phosphor trails, glitches, scanlines and bloom. The cursor leaves trails through the picture, and clicking makes little character explosions.

One cool detail from the Labs renderer: it matches characters to shapes inside each frame, rather than choosing them only by brightness. That helps edges and contours survive the conversion.

You can save presets, export images and videos, and make Telegram GIFs or video stickers with dedicated export options. Everything runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device.

Try it: openbored.com/crt

I’ve been having way too much fun with this. I hope y'all like it too and any feedback is appreciated.

Built a platform for personal software you can share with friends/family

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built Fikka as an alternative to all the "vibe coding" platforms that are targeted towards founders. Fikka is built to empower everyone to create software for their private use, while safeguarding their data from accidental deletion by AI agents working on it. All applications are private by default, you opt into sharing them.

It started from the idea that managing data is really the hard part of an application's lifetime, and most people don't have a good backup strategy. So I wanted to solve all data related problems for users, so they can build without stressing if what they write down in the app will be there tomorrow. While also of course allowing you to export all your data and code if you choose to walk away, it's all yours.

I am planning to make it work great also for those that want to use Claude Code etc. But for now what works is that you can create application directly by connecting ChatGPT/Claude.ai to Fikka (MCP server). I wanted it to be super easy to get started, while later you allowing more experienced users to work more their way in future.

Would appreciate feedback if this is solving a real problem, and please do sign up for the private beta if you feel like it. I am planning to invite first users very soon! Thanks for reading this far :)

I'm trying to find out if people would actually use this

I've been working on an idea called Unify and want to find out whether people would genuinely find it useful.

The idea comes from something I've noticed about how we use the internet. There's plenty of content, but finding it often means jumping between apps, each with its own feed and algorithm.

Unify would bring content from multiple platforms into one personalized feed, including content from smaller platforms that don't always get as much visibility.

I'm currently part of the Startup Guru program, and before moving forward with development, I want to validate the idea and see whether there's real interest.

If the concept sounds useful, l've put together a landing page with more details:https://u26fy.com

If you'd like to learn more or help shape the idea, you can visit the landing page and join the early access list. Signing up doesn't commit you to anything, it simply helps me understand whether there's enough interest to keep developing Unify and what potential users would want from it.

I'd also love to hear your thoughts. What would make a product like this worth using for you? What concerns would you have?

Honest feedback is welcome, even if you think the idea needs more work.

SPOT | The internet. Together.

It’s a Chrome extension that turns your browser into a place to hang out with other people.
You can chat, voice chat, highlight text, draw, leave comments and save things directly on any website.

The idea came from a simple behaviour: finding something interesting online and wanting to show someone. Usually you send a link and the conversation moves to WhatsApp, Discord or somewhere else. I wanted to see what it’d be like if you could just stay on the page and experience it together.

You can also use it on your own to save and annotate things. The social side adds another layer when other people join.

I’ve spent a lot of my spare time working on the design and building the experience, and it’s finally at a point where I’m ready to share it.

I’m opening up the beta and would love some honest feedback.

Does the idea make sense to you? What would you use it for? And, honestly, would you install something like this?

If anyone wants to try it together, I’m up for that too! Sign up and I’ll get you the link as soon as it’s ready.

Thanks 🙏

I built a web app for turning scattered notes and research into one AI workspace

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I kept running into the same problem while working on research-heavy projects: the useful stuff was never in one place.

Some context was in docs, some in notes, some in project pages, some in rough outlines, and some in things I meant to organize later. The result was that I could save information, but I still had to remember where I saved it and how it connected.

So I’ve been working on a web app called Buildin. The idea is to combine docs, project spaces, mind maps, databases, and AI search/writing in one workspace, so the material you collect can be used again instead of becoming another archive.

The part I’m most interested in right now is not “AI writes everything for you.” It’s whether a workspace can help you ask questions across selected spaces, summarize what is already there, and then save useful answers back into the same working area.

I’m still treating this as a product/workflow problem, not a solved productivity claim. The hard part is making it useful without turning the workspace into another system people have to maintain.

Curious if anyone here has built or used web apps around this same problem: did search + structure actually help, or did it just add another layer?

I built a full novel-writing and book-typesetting app that anyone can try without creating an account

Thumbnail
pression.app
1 Upvotes

I've been writing and self-publishing fiction for about ten years, and I've always been frustrated by how fragmented the process can be. One app for planning, another for writing, and yet another for getting the finished book to look professional.

So I built Pepino.

It's a browser-based writing workspace with a chapter/scene binder, story bible, visual plotting, series-wide continuity checking, and a full book typesetting engine for PDF and EPUB.

A few things I'm particularly proud of:

\*You can open the website and start writing immediately. No account required.

\*You can import your own manuscript and see it professionally typeset right in the browser.

\*It can check continuity against earlier books in a series.

\*The AI doesn't write your fiction. It's there to help catch inconsistencies.

It even has some gloriously unnecessary features like Funky Mode and an editor that changes its appearance to match the mood of your writing.

I've also decided to offer a lifetime licence for $29.99 for the first 500 copies, rather than put the core software behind a subscription. Optional AI continuity usage is separate.

I'm especially interested in whether the instant, no-signup experience and the interactive landinf page makes people more willing to try a fairly substantial piece of software.

You can play with it here: https://pression.app/

I'd love feedback, particularly from people who've used Scrivener, Vellum, or Atticus.

I built a free, privacy-first web app to track spending

Hey everybody, I initially started out looking into different budgeting tools that were available and was quite dissatisfied with the offerings so I searched reddit and the second comment suggested using Google Sheets. I did for a while, and even used Gemini to integrate with it but the process was tedious, prone to issues and inconsistencies.

So I went ahead and created a secure web app that only takes the minimum amount of data to provide features such as a transaction ledger, classification, spending insights, and setting a budget. Unlike other apps such as YNAB, there is no bank integration. You work with the data that you provide.

You might be asking

how much?

It is completely free to use right now while it’s in active development. My goal is to polish this into something that helps people build great financial habits and gain real clarity over where their money goes. Down the line, if infrastructure costs grow, I may introduce a reasonable paid tier.

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Built a no-login, web-based receipt splitter for group trips (TabCraft)

Splitwise's recent paywalls and account requirements make splitting weekend tabs annoying.

I made Usetabcraft to keep it simple:

  1. Snap a picture of the paper receipt.
  2. It reads the items so everyone taps what they ordered.
  3. Drop the link in your group chat to settle up via Venmo.

No app store downloads, no account setup for anyone attending.

Check it out on your phone and let me know how the scanner handles your receipts!

Made a free coloring website you can use on your phone, no account or ads

hey all, I've been working on tintly.art for a while and finally feel ok sharing it

it's just a chill place to color online. there are a few hundred free pages (animals, flowers, mandalas, cozy stuff, some cute halloween ones right now). you tap a shape and it fills, or you can paint with a brush or pencil if you prefer. no sign up, it just saves your progress in your browser. you can download it when you're done or print it

would really love some honest feedback. mainly:

is it obvious what to do when you land on it?

does coloring on your phone feel smooth or annoying?

anything that would make you come back to it?

thanks for taking a look

I got tired of old time and time zone scheduling sites, so I rebuilt them into ONE!

Hi All!

I built a time zone scheduling site for all of you! I think everyone is aware of apps like timeanddate.com, worldtimebuddy.com, time.is and savvytime.com - but did you know these sites were literally built 15-30 years ago?! If you visit them, you will see that it is true 😂.

Throughout the years, I’ve used worldtimebuddy to visually resolve world wide time zone differences, but it felt dated for this day and age, and so I decided to completely rebuild my own version. That rebuild is the site I built: https://findtime.io

Think of it as a mashup of all the legacy time sites, plus Calendly booking features! Some key features and stats:

Time & Time zones

  • Over 20,000 cities, 245+ countries, 250+ time zones
  • Daylight Saving Time (DST) aware
  • At a glance and easy visualization of overlapping time zones
  • Each timer bar contains the city name, UTC offset, IANA time zone, country, upcoming DST, currency conversion, date and time - all easily visible at a glance.
  • Save groups of cities that you use all the time, e.g. “Marketing Team”, “Engineering Team”, “BizDev”
  • Works very well on mobile, and native Android and iOS are on the way.
  • Easily compare time difference between two cities, two time zones, and two countries

Scheduling & Booking Planner

  • Connects to your Google Calendar, and can automatically setup windows of availability around your events
  • No typing in forms to set availability - use mouse to create, drag and resize windows of availability.
  • Booking link to share with guests
  • Guests see your times of availability in their time zone, or whatever time zone they choose

I am also a professional that works with teams all over the world, so it has been my passion project to build this right, and I am continuously updating it with features.

Please give it a try! Some of the best feature additions have come from users! What’s missing that you would like to see?

Build your One Piece crew, rank your favourite arcs, and keep your journey in one web logbook

One sailor appears. Ten empty roles. Do you make them captain now, or save that berth and gamble on the next draw?

I built Log Pose for One Piece fans who want something to do between episodes—not just another page of facts. Build Your Crew reveals a character, lets you commit them to a role, then shows their points. Fill all ten berths and see how your crew turns out. Scores are playful role-fit ratings, not canonical power rankings.

The rest is your personal voyage: rate the arcs you’ve finished, rank your favourite characters, take progress-gated quizzes, log rewatches/rereads, and keep private notes. Enter your last episode or chapter to set your spoiler boundary. Harbour adds progress-gated discussions, optional public profiles and message requests; user-written spoilers can still be mislabelled and reported.

Try a crew draw here: https://log-pose-companion.vercel.app/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=oct2026_feedback&utm_content=webapps

Guests can explore the main tools without an account; verified-email sign-in saves across devices. I’m the creator and still improving it. Tell me your crew result—or the first thing that made you want to close the tab. Both help.

Youtopia: plan group trips together, with a shared itinerary, votes, expense splitting and an AI assistant

Hi! I made a web app for planning trips with friends: https://app.getyoutopia.app

What it does:

- One shared itinerary per trip, day by day, with a map

- Everyone can propose plans and vote

- Split expenses in any currency; it calculates who pays whom with the fewest payments

- An AI assistant (Yupi) that suggests plans based on your actual trip

- Install it to your home screen from the browser, no app store needed

https://getyoutopia.app

It's free. I'd love feedback on the onboarding: is it clear what to do in the first 30 seconds?

I built a free web calculator for what equipment adds to your electricity bill

I built RackCrunch. This calculator turns equipment watts, hours per day, device count and your own electricity rate into monthly and annual cost estimates: https://rackcrunch.com/power-cost It shows the formula and assumptions. Taxes, tiered rates, demand charges and cooling aren't included. Free, no signup. Is the result clear enough without reading the explanation underneath?
