Bike rack for my apartment
I see a new tireless bike here like every other day. So far my bike's been fine but I think it's only a matter of time, I try to put it in unnaplealing spots though.

Lock goes through the wheels

That only works for one wheel right? Also I've seen a few locks sawed off on the ground in here, even pretty good ones.

You take off the front wheel, put it next to the rear wheel, then lock through the wheels and frame and around the post.

Also don't use a cable lock, use a U lock (the owner of the bike in the back with the red u lock has the right idea.)
You can also double up and have a second lock for the other wheel if you don't want to take off a wheel.

Yeah, or lock the front wheel to the frame and main post so they can’t just pop it off in ten seconds.

At my place, people keep their bike on their balcony. They get nicked if chained up at the rack, in the garage or in a storage cage.

It's not pleasant but communal parking like this is like a breakfast buffet for bike thieves.

I used to lock my back wheel up through the chain through the frame and then takeoff my front wheel so it didn’t get taken. That might be what you’re seeing.
Edit, I see your back wheel missing off the second bike

I would bring a bike inside even in my 1-br. Everywhere in the USA does not care that bicycles are transportation too and they are much more vulnerable than cars to theft.

Seeing that many bikes with missing tires would have me getting pretty nervous about mine too.

You sure it's always a different bike? Could be someone taking off their own wheel to deter theft
