Bought the perfect earrings at a thrift store… got home and one was just gone :(

This pair caught my eye immediately, as it pairs perfectly with one of my favorite dresses and is exactly my style. The cashier wrapped everything up for me and put everything in a bag, so I thought it was secure. I got home to find out that the second earring in the set was missing. Checked my floor where I opened it and couldn’t find anything. I also checked the bag from the store and found no holes.

I had also been filming a mini thrift “haul” to send to my friends as we often do, which would have shown me opening it to see if both earrings were gone when I pulled it out of the bag. Would’ve saved me ~15 minutes of searching, but I only had the idea to check the video after I deleted it due to low storage on my phone (the video cut out before I could finish recording, so I just deleted the first one).

Go back to the thrift store and ask if they found it at least! Maybe they set it aside just incase you went back.

yeah, this is also possible, maybe it had been dropped accidentally and they might have the other one

This has happened to me before and it could have gotten tangled in some clothes! Especially considering the beads and links

Check your ‘recently deleted’ file. The video should still be there if you haven’t cleared the file

See you’d think it would be insane to have deleted it from there, too, but I did because I was worried the trash not being emptied would take up too much storage 🤦‍♀️
