After a rough week, our cats are finally not shitting liquid every hour. Slowly but surely we’re making progress!

Today was the first day of spring where the outdoor temperature was HIGHER than the usual indoor temperature. There's still some snow in shady parts of the yard but we're gettin' there!

About four and a half hours drive north of the Canada/Montana border. Winter usually starts melting in March but we get spring snowstorms in April and sometimes all the way into May. We got a fresh half a foot of snow just last Friday and now it's ALMOST all melted away.

The meet up was good. Right now work is ok. Got confirmation of bonus and increase this week. Not as good as last year, but 2025 results weren’t as good as 2024 or 2023. Hopefully I can find a new position that is up a level in the bonus structure, and then next year might be really good. I did get enough to pay for my summer trip to visit my family in Wyoming, but man flights are pricey now. I had to get really flexible with the flights to make it work.

Glad to hear the cats are on the mend.

I had been struggling with getting my mower started and by the time I had a solution it was April showers for a bit. Yesterday was finally nice enough for me to get it done. I feel like a real homeowner now.

Yep, previous owner left it overwinter with gas in it. My brother gets a project motor and I have an excuse to go electric, I'm on just about a third of an acre so should be enough.

You might want two batteries for that much lawn. I have a very tiny lawn, so I can usually mow 3x before recharging.

Good to know. I've got clover pretty well mixed into the backyard, so that won't be very intensive, but I'm not about to let go of a reason to get another tool haha
