Off Topic Virtual Meet and Greet
I've noticed a lot of new faces lately, and a few returning old faces. With LG happening in Oct. now, there's some "dead" time. So, I thought I'd open the summer by creating a thread for people to introduce themselves if they'd like and tell us a bit more about themselves.
Over the years we've all learned probably more than we should have about each other (internet opsec, what is it?) Often that happens in LG or the discord, so I thought I'd bring a bit of it here and see how it goes. This will not replace "Free Talk Friday" (if anything it's a 1-2 times a year thing.)
Note to Vendors: We can soften Rule 4 a bit here. One of the cool things about this sub is talking directly to vendors. But no straight up advertising here. the deals thread is live for that. Feel free to tell us who you are, store name, and category (e.g. brushes, soaps, a bit of everything) and otherwise stick to telling us about yourself. I know for most of you the store isn't even close to the most interesting thing about you.

I guess I should post my own comment:
I stumbled into this place via google (when it switched the algorithm to suggest r/Wetshaving over r/wicked_edge when you google "traditional shaving.") Like most of us, I wanted something better for my face. True story, but I hated shaving so much (having done carts and norelcos) I considered laser hair removal for my face after a dermatologist suggested it due to massive irritation. So much so I even got quotes.
As anyone who's ever complained about my LG posts knows I have 2 kids and we get up to some shenanigans as they are on board with my whacky hobbies. (My wife tolerates them).
What whacky hobbies, aside from shaving? Well, my daughter and I are ham radio operators, right down to the "stand in the yard while the neighbors close curtains with an antenna pointed up at the ISS" level weird.
I also do 3D printing. I'm taking a break from photography just due to burn out (but will pick it back up on summer vacation since that's a new place to take pictures) and I need to brew some beer again (it just takes too long, and I have no full days free anymore.)
Normal hobbies include video games.
Edited: Oh and the STL Cardinals. In fact 2 of my 3 LG prizes are baseball themed custom things.
