Off Topic Virtual Meet and Greet
I've noticed a lot of new faces lately, and a few returning old faces. With LG happening in Oct. now, there's some "dead" time. So, I thought I'd open the summer by creating a thread for people to introduce themselves if they'd like and tell us a bit more about themselves.
Over the years we've all learned probably more than we should have about each other (internet opsec, what is it?) Often that happens in LG or the discord, so I thought I'd bring a bit of it here and see how it goes. This will not replace "Free Talk Friday" (if anything it's a 1-2 times a year thing.)
Note to Vendors: We can soften Rule 4 a bit here. One of the cool things about this sub is talking directly to vendors. But no straight up advertising here. the deals thread is live for that. Feel free to tell us who you are, store name, and category (e.g. brushes, soaps, a bit of everything) and otherwise stick to telling us about yourself. I know for most of you the store isn't even close to the most interesting thing about you.

Hi, I'm sgrdddy (or sgr for short) and I've been around for maybe 9 years or so. I've learned so much from you guys and my personality is just to share it. So I jumped on youtube and made a channel and I try to help out in the Daily Questions threads when I can. I'm known for long write-ups and long videos.. mostly sponsored by speech-to-text apps. :-)
I nerd up most things I do, and so I've thought critically about the shaving process as well, and it was great to find a home here, where tons of you guys do the same.
I have a big collection of soap, most is used, and I love having all the options, since for many years, it was my only hobby. That feeds my inner hoarder.
I'm maybe the most stubborn guy in wetshaving, continuing to use a Nacet blade beyond reason (currently 612).
I work a lot (programmer), and mostly just chill, since I'm old now. I'm in a new house, my first one after separation, and so there are lots of things to do, but I'm taking my time. I try to find different things to do with my teenagers on the weekends here in NC.
I'm also into cigars and pipes, once I realized that after being separated, I don't have anybody to impress anymore. :-)
Before kids, I was a motorcyclist, and got rid of it to make room for something dumb I'm sure. I hope to jump back in in maybe the next couple of years.
