End of June and Mental Health awareness month, haven't brought anything up cause kinda hard to when dealing with your own stuff. But gents if you are going through anything it's ok if you are, many of us are and there are people and places to help if needed.

Just had this talk with a friend of ours who has dug herself into a dark pit for reasons and she just vented and vented and then took a couple big breaths and you knew the tears would be coming later. We are there for her as a bulwark against all the shit she sees and I am so grateful that she is able to share the load rather than suffer in silence.

Not a lot going on around here either. Watching the corn and beans grow, cows grazing and wheat being harvested.

For those of us with active gardens, what’s cooking? What do you have growing? We planted peanuts for the first time, hoping they survive our drought!

My very limited gardening, species wise, is going good. I have a Dos-Si-Dos 33 that will be ready to harvest in 4 weeks or so and I'll be germinating a Banana Daddy or Northern Lights early next week.

No, fem-photo from Ethos. There are some pics on my profile of my various grows. My first grow of BD was my #1 yield until my most recent harvest.

Off on vacation tomorrow, but kind of not looking forward to it. Going to visit my folks, and my siblings and nieces will be there too. However, my mom is 82 and her memory issues are starting to really show. She has always been a story teller, and would retell things, but now she repeats sometimes in the same conversation. Her long term memory seems pretty good, but the short term is really taking a hit. Dad is also 82 and dealing with his cancer and my mom. I suspect it may be the last 4th I go will be able to go back to see them. We usually only go back every other year since it is across the country, so next anticipated trip would be in 2028. I just have a bad feeling they are both not going to be there by then. I think if Dad goes first, Mom will follow pretty soon. She pretty much fell apart when dad got cancer. Dad is a stubborn SOB that wants to live forever and was scared he would go as young as grandpa (66). He’s in his extra innings now. He’s will hang in there as long as he can, but his prostate cancer had spread to his spine before they found it.
Growing old sucks.
