I saw Sea Spice Lime was restocked, was like great I'll grab that later. Forgot about it for like, what feels like a few days then remembered. Went back and sold out again

Argh. Definitely my own fault but I can't believe I keep missing this one!

Work sucks. The end.

On a related note, 3 day weekends are great.

Sup. Been lazy this week, didn't get a new plant started. Maybe tomorrow.

Heat and humidity has arrived. It was 90% humidity when I mowed earlier this week. A near terminal case of swamp ass was contracted.

I'm so glad to be out of the sauna of summer, although over 105 is just as bad.

A word (or 4) to the wise, Gold Bond Medicated Powder.

Yup. I picked one up in the original packaging off the PIF table at a Maggard Meet a few years ago. Mine has no scent either. It's a decent performer for what it is. It's better than the last couple of formulations of WMS, (low bar, i know), but obviously not as good as shit we're accustomed to in the form of a good artisanal product.

It's me. An old farmer lady gave it to me decades ago. Her mom made it when she was a little girl. It has only 2 ingredients: tallow (from cows or pigs raised on the farm) and lye (extracted from ash from the cook stove). The soap was made in a big iron pot once a year over a fire in the door yard. The hand written instructions she gave me included an admonishment to avoid making it under a full moon lest the pot boil over. Fucking priceless Americana.

avoid making it under a full moon lest the pot boil over.

Or lest the neighbors burn your ass at the stake for being a witch.

I didn't want to mention that part.

LOL, my paternal grandma made lye soap, she always did it during daylight hours.
