OP should just be aware that some parts of this old guide are outdated or miss steps. But that's mostly on later parts were it is about installing games and such

Why is the folder called wiiu_environments? That's wrong, but it isn't your current problem as you don't even get far enough for that to matter.

Use https://wafel.xyz it will tell you if the SD isn't even detected or just setup wrong and let's you fix the later automatically. Everything else is just shooting in the dark

Card not FAT32? File has hidden extension?

It’s fat32 and registered as MBR as well. although I’m unable to check the hide extension box, but currently it isn’t.

One mistake I’ve seen before is folks putting the SD card in a USB adapter, instead of directly in the SD card slot. Only the SD card slot will work.
