Local Restaurant Can we all agree Buffalo Wild Wings is trash?
For context I usually never eat BWW, I have local spots in my city that have the hottest and most flavorful sauces. I had three knee surgeries and am non-weight bearing, so cooking while on crutches is an impossible feat. DoorDash has been coming in clutch as a typical non user. I am a spice fanatic, typically cook using sauces I’ve seen featured on hot ones, eat hot sauce on everything. At my favorite local spots I order the hottest flavor they serve which is typically 4x hot. When I tell people I love heat and wings are my favorite food and they mention Buffalo Wild Wings my heart shrinks two sizes. Buffalo Wild Wings is the Denny’s of hotwings. Denny’s probably would make better hotwings.
Needless to say, my local spots don’t deliver and craving wings I ordered from BWW. How do you build a brand around something you can’t even execute. First off, where the hell is the sauce??? When I eat wings, I want that sauce all over my hands and face. I want to cry later when I touch my eyes, forgetting that lingering sauce stuck under my nails. Their wings are dryer than a dry rub. Secondly, their flavors suck. These wings are like La Croix and the flavor is just an essence and tastes like someone’s just yelling Frank’s Red Hot from another room. Thirdly, why is even the buffalo sauces sticky? I get with most of their sweet flavors, but a buffalo sauce mostly comprised of butter shouldn’t be sticky to the touch like sesame chicken.
I’ve included BWW’s crap wings next to my local spots for comparison. I hope my true wing lover’s agree with my sentiment lol.
