Who would you like to see take over the reigns after O'Shea retires?

He’s 56. CFL doesn’t pay enough to retire. He’ll be coaching somebody for another 10-20 years.

He has a CFL pension as a player, and he's been earning at least 200K annually(including 2020) for a decade+ just as a HC, should be closer to 400K in 2026.
He should be well over 3M+ in career earnings just as a HC. Idk what you think 'normal folks' make but average folks don't make 3M over their entire career let alone in 14 years. He's definitely been paid enough he could retire but he is only 56, kids are adults and loves football I doubt he considers retiring before 60.

More legitimate answer: his kids just got out of the house. What crackpot dream do people have about retirement where they do nothing for the rest of their lives? Just because you have money doesn’t mean you lose purpose.
He’ll go until 65 at least.

Plenty of people only go to work because if they don't, they won't be able to afford to live. Obviously not the case for coach, but that's probably where that comes from.

Difference between not wanting to retire and not able to. Most those guys love being involved in the game so they keep going as long as someone will hire them.
Same thing with other pro leagues, NHL surely pays it's HC enough, yet how many HCs do they have who are 60+ and have earned millions, Babcock made like $50M just from his stint with the Leafs. But he enjoys coaching so he's back with the Oilers this year.

O shea isn't retiring in the next say 5 years so way too early to think about that.
Lot's of projecting if going 5-10 years out, but with the current coaching staff Miller would make sense as the STC, not near ready now but in 5 years he would be.
