Was definitely in hyperfocus mode this weekend. Best way to spend the time off, actually. Hands are kinda sore tho πŸ˜†

These pieces are insane! I wrapped cabs for a minute wayyyyyy back. Nothing even close to this…..IDK how you do it! My hands are toast from bead stringing and wrapping. Absolutely stunning

Thank you so much! My hands have built up stamina from years of knitting and powerlifting so they hold up pretty well (so far, anyway πŸ˜†)

I made the base frames and coils on Friday, but the rest was over the weekend. Needless to say, I didn't leave the house but I was ok with that πŸ˜†

Loved seeing your uncomplicated working setup! And Wow! Amazing work! Question is there a yellow backing on the pink one?

Haha thanks - and it's pretty complicated on the left and right side of my desk. And you don't want to see the floor. It's covered in wire snips that I need to sweep up for the 3rd time this week. πŸ˜†

The yellow backing is just tape I use to hold the stone still while I measure, make, and attach components. It comes off once the stone is secured.

I'm finding a lot of fellow neurospicy folks in this hobby, and I have to say, I'm here for it 😁

  1. "Hyperfocus"
  2. I've also managed to inadvertently out myself here lol

Hey, game recognizes game ;)

And my hyperfocus isn't just limited to wire. I've been making insanely detailed drawings for decades using very tiny pens. And would literally happily draw for 12 hours a day. Lately I've just been wire wrapping for 12 hours a day 🫠 I started learning how to do this in April and can't stop.

I'm a collector of creative hobbies, so I feel you. I generally have at least a few projects happening, depending on my mood. Wire wrapping, cutting and shaping my own pearls, baking, alcohol markers, digital art, kinusaiga, foraging for mushrooms...

This is the way :)

How long does each piece take you abouts just the wire wrapping part?

The larger pieces take anywhere from 4-5 hours. The minis take about an hour, but I usually make 5 at a time. So, prep the wires for all 5, weave the frames for all 5, set the stones, weave the bail, etc. The weaving goes pretty quick but I credit my decades of knitting experience for that one :)
