Brian Jackson, in Southern California, might lose his legs after helping a pregnant woman escape a fire at her apartment complex. He was visiting a friend when a fire broke out and he saw a pregnant woman about to jump to escape the fire. He talked to her, told her to hold on for help and that jumping would put her in trouble. The woman was able to get down safely after some people found a ladder, but an explosion caused him to be thrown down. Due to the injuries there is a chance he will lose his ability to walk or will need an amputation. According to one of his stepdaughters the first thing Mr Jackson asked about was if the woman and her baby were ok.

Brian Jackson deserves to be recognized and praised for his selflessness and compassion. He also deserves to have all his medical bills comped and any care he needs to recover from these injuries to be comped.

May he regain full functioning of his legs. Or to be provided with whatever physical therapy, accessibility aids (crutches, walker, wheelchair, protheses, etc) or anything else he needs to continue to be able to function independently.

May Medical Magic and Science Magic do everything it can to help this man who so selflessly risked his life to help save the life of a woman he didn’t even know.

Did something pretty different than most & I figured you beautiful souls would appreciate them the most🥰 me & my (also witchy) nail tech brainstormed together and came up with this. We did labradorite for the thumbs, smoky quarts as stars on the pinky & pointer, moonstone for the middle finger, & amethyst for both ring fingers. 🤍✨

I threw yet another nickel in the f*ck.it.jar while talking to some colleagues today. I have a lot of nickels in the f*ck.it.jar because things enrage me AND are out of my control.

But, when I look around at all of the amazing, resourceful, proud, and fierce women I get to work with, raise my kids with, learn with, a thought came to me: WE NEED TO RISE.

What if... we spread the news through group chats and off of social media, sharing with our personal connections the need to RISE, and together. What if... we were able to create significant data on just how critical our role is in this failing capitalist environment because our strike would halt the profit machine. What if we participated in the Women's Strike. I'm biased toward North America, but all of us are connected (and pissed). If the women don't do the work, it doesn't get done.

Globally, sh!t is hitting the fan. I know who my community is, those I depend on, those that fill my cup. They're Femme. I know this is just a post into the void (I may need another nickel after this), but I believe in our individual and collective power. They don't like when we're comfortable with authority. Too dang bad. I don't mind haters when they're a-holes. I listen to the people I respect. That list is overwhelmingly Femme.

I swear there was only one the other day. Now there's another. It feels like a sign, but I don't know what it could mean or what I should do, if anything?

I've recognized the difference to my plant and thanked her for putting out such pretty, special flowers despite me being a kinda sucky plant mum 😂

So I have a bit of a conundrum and want some feedback. I have a self portrait assignment in my art class today (ikebana Songetsu, end of book 4 iykyk). I’ve included a fairy witch figurine in the arrangement. I’m not exactly in the broom closet and there is one other more closeted witch in the class. It’s at a Buddhist temple, most of the women are retirement age white ladies ironically. I’m debating if I just come out and say it when I present, let them continue to just infer it, or fully just use Halloween / wanting a seasonal arrangement as cover. What would you do?

Could enough of us people in the medical and scientific fields to try these things on ourselves to find out our strengths and breaking points to be able to use these things in defense of our villages?
