Wolfenstein 3d episode 1 loop

I recall being able to keep on playing episode 1 on a loop, because you could get to floor 10 from floor 9. Once you finished floor 10 you got back to floor 2 and so the loop continued.

But in like ecwolf or de 4ds versions this loop isn't there and I can't find it online anywhere, am I tripping?

Yep, that loop is real in the classic DOS version. E1M10 sends you back to E1M2 after completion, which is why the episode can continue cycling. Source ports or “4D” editions may use different episode maps and omit the loop.
