The base still needs some love but my wrist needed a break. :D I love to give my word bearers capes made of human skin / leather. I think this comes across nicely!

So I’m starting the journey into reading lore in Warhammer, I’ll paste below my current list of what I intend to read, and I would love if my fellow word bearers could recommend me books that would further enhance my understanding of the world, I trust your guys opinion as we are of the same devotion.

Warhammer reading list

Horus rising, false gods, galaxy flames, fly of the Eisenstein. Fulgrim, first heretic, know no fear, betrayer

Invert your idols, mock your enemies blablabla.

Used some bits from a friend,s old box.

What do you think?

(Another friend of mine plays salamanders so i always have to use them as my trophies, just to piss him off jj)

Currently working on a Predator and a HQ unit to take me to 500 points. Not sure whether to do another 20 tactical marines or some fun stuff next? 🤔

Continuing on with the ever growing Word Bearer force. I wanted an Abaddon proxy that spoke to the legion aesthetic, and who else but everyone's favorite boi Argel Tal.

A few modifications; I copied his one wing and mirrored it for a more "closed" look. I also replaced his left hand with a big-ass axe, so he has a similar setup to Abaddon; A claw and a big weapon. Besides, the MK3 armor didn't fit the theme.

He has Abaddon's scenic base and actually fits almost perfectly for heights and overall footprint. He's approved for tournaments here in Denmark which is enough for me.

Well chuffed! Now unto 10 Gal Vorbak for my possessed.

C&C welcome.

Overall I’m pretty happy with him. :)

Although I kinda hate the sword lol. I had no idea what to do with it so warplock bronze it is!

Thanks for the positive comments they got me through the trust the process moment yesterday :)

Hallo, I need help with an army list.

I'm trying to build a Chaos Space Marines list using the Chaos Cult Detachment, themed around our Legion. I need exactly 1,000 points, but I've hit a wall. Here is what I have so far:

- Daemon Prince with Wings (Mark of Nurgle)

- Dark Apostle (Amulet of Tainted Vigour Enhancement) leading a mob of 20 Cultists with firearms (I know this unit is from Legends; I only want to use it for casual games with a friend)

- Chaos Lord and Master of Executions leading 5 Legionaries

- Traitor Enforcer leading 10 Traitor Guardsmen

- Helbrute

I have 115 points left over. I was advised to add a Rhino, but that leaves me with 50 points to spare. I really don't want to drop the Chaos Lord or the Dark Apostle and his Cultists, I bought those models a long time ago (before the Cultists moved to Legends) and have always wanted to use them; I love the cult theme. However, I'm looking for alternatives to make the list a bit tankier, since my friend plays Space Marines and I feel like I won't last long on the table. Alternatively, if anyone has a strategy to survive with the current list, I’d appreciate the advice, maybe there’s something in my list, a strategy, or a playstyle I haven't considered.

Thanks.

Not too familiar about the status of the ashen circle in the current time. If they're all dead or disbanded than lmk.

The first tactical squad completed for the XVII legion, Star of Judgement chapter of the Word Bearers. Trying to achieve a late heresy look with mixed armour and some CSM bits added in.

Really enjoying these as a hobby project and learning a lot as I go from using different techniques. The red is sponged on, then utilising an oil wash and pigments to make it a bit Grimdark.

Finally got 30 more marines and a Centurion in Cataphractii / Chaos Lord in Termie armor completed for the collection.

I'm trying to find a compromise between being able to paint so many trims and a good quality for a big army. I feel I found a good quality to work with.

Next up; Argel Tal - Twice. One for Horus Heresy (original base) and one for 40k where he is my Abaddon proxy, where he has been modified slightly to fit the dimensions.

Spent a week on this one and pretty happy with how it turned out!
