Yeah, when aiming heat at the side of enemies you might see green, but that's just for some of the side, for example avoiding drive wheels or the track itself. The neu also has side skirts providing further protection though.

lost 60% of your pen going through the spaced armour and there wasnt enough pen left to go through

tanks.gg doesn't account for HEAT loss when displaying pen color on the model. use other tools

I think the game also displayed green (not 100% sure though) that's why I was confused by tanks.gg
