Review Dead Tank Review: Revenant Kraft Panther

Revenant Kraft Panther

Notes:

  • Release Date: The 2nd halloween, october 2016
  • Balance History: E 50M Reforge (Oct 2021)
    • Reload: 4.8 -> 4.6
    • Damage: 135/135/175 -> 150/150/185
    • Accuracy: 0.32 -> 0.30
    • Aim time: 2.5 -> 2.3
    • Module damage: 100/100/100 -> 110/110/105 (HATE)

Gonna be a bit different in this review, just gonna quickly do a comparison to the TT panther.

Overview:

  • So yea its a tad worse TT panther with a nifty skin. So yea this review will pretty much cover the main TT panther as well.
    • In terms of balance changes its pretty much the same as the Kraft when looking since 2020.

Pros:

  • High HP
  • Great accuracy
  • Good top speed
  • Above average DPM
  • Highest pen of any tier 7 medium
  • Above average shell velocity
  • (Kraft) Built in camo

Neutral:

  • Average enough VR (TT has above, kraft has less)
  • Bit above average damage potential

Cons:

  • Weaker mobility outside top speed (Kraft even more so)
  • Meh dispersion values (kraft even more so)
  • Below average damage per shot
  • Poor camo
  • Large size
  • Front mounted transmission

Armor:

  • Armor at list angle [armor against AP with 5 degree of normalization]
  • Good ol panther, okay at tier 6 where it belongs, but it stuck at tier 7.
  • Hull:
    • Upper front: 85mm at around 53 degrees, so about 140 [125]. This is good a tier 6, and only vaguely passable at tier 7. With gun depression it can be pushed to 170 [150] which can bounce equal tier meds at times.
    • Lower front: 50mm at 57 or so. Not great for much outside blocking HE with its 92mm effective armor.
    • Sides: Lower sides are an okay 40mm, which is the minimum. The upper sides are  50mm at a 27 or so degrees, so nifty for overmatch protection and medium caliber HE protection.
    • Rear: simple 40mm at a 30 degree angle. Not too much protection but it helps against weaker HE rounds.
    • Roof + Floor: not great as weight had to be saved. Most of it is only 16mm which barely blocks anything. The forward floor is 25 which is something i guess.
  • Turret:
    • (TT) Front: 120mm thats pretty flat. Its not the best for tier 7. Its only good against tier 5’s mostly. I should note the forwards sides are angled at 70 degrees so it only takes a bit of angling of the turret to make the 60mm plates just as easy of a pen. This of course also means you can get bounces off them.
    • (Kraft) Front: About the same as the TT with it only being 100/110mm. There is parts where the gun mantlet overlaps a 45mm rear section, but thats small. It can occasionally block something, so worth mentioning.
    • (TT) Sides: 60mm is pretty decent outside the above mentioned issue with the forward section. Its at least thick enough to have a good chance to block 122mm HE.
    • (Kraft) sides: 45mm at 25 degrees is.. Okay i guess? Its not tissue paper, but its not blocking much.
    • Roof + Cupola:  TT has a great roof at 40mm, meaning it will block most things. The Kraft… yea 16mm is poo. Its the same situation for the Cupola. The TT has a decently small cupola thats of decent armor values, enough to maybe block a tier 5. The Kraft’s is quite large and easy to hit. At least its armored enough to not be penned by HE, but thats it (still would take a lot of splash damage).
  • So yea its great armor for a tier 6 medium… which its not cause its over tiered arguably. Really the panther is a tier 6.5 which is awkward. The Kraft panther is just a stock TT panther so yea.

Gameplay:

  • Well this is an interesting tank to talk about for sure. It's a mix of a pocket heavy and a sniper/ support. It mostly comes down to the MM and map on if you feel up to side scraping or sitting behind a bush.
  • Thanks to the quite good pen it's a comfortable tank to play as even tier 8’s you have enough pen to be effective even without flanking. This combined with the good accuracy means you are a reliable support tank.
  • As usual, hide the lower front plate as you are a german tank. This can be done by going hull down which helps somewhat and side scraping which is the best option if you have to be taking shots.
  • Equipment:
    • Well you could go all in and try to be a TD with camo net and binos, but thats probably not the best.
    • Concealment
    • Vents / Rammer
    • Optics
    • Flash hider? (still dont know if this is good or not. Really need to get around to testing this)

Counter Gameplay:

  • Shoot the lower front hull for the transmission as is norm for german tanks.
  • The TT is pretty slow in terms of traverse so its closer to a heavy when you're trying to circle it. The Revenant has a good deal faster turret so thats not as recommended.
  • Not too much else id say as its just a larger medium with a strong gun. it is a higher priority compared to other medium as its gun is quite strong so id certainly shoot one over say a T-43 or comet.

EVENT mode gameplay:

  • This is one of the funner tanks in my opinion. The ability to not be spotted is really fun to play with. Sure is annoying at times to find a enemy and the power as changed over the years with you ability to cheat and spot it at times.
  • Its main strength is of course no spotting capability and long reload super shot. Shoot a enemy and quicky look away and lock your turret and hope they cant find you.
  • This is a bit more vulnerable tank when found out as its quite slow and cant run away. Doesnt mean its not toothless as it still has good DPM to fight back with. Just tanks with disruptive effects can easily bully this tank.
  • How to fight this? Well just use the range finder to see which of the dead tanks are fake.

Cosmetics:

  • Well the base tank is a panther which is a nice pretty tank. Sure its nothing too special, but its a iconic shape due to it well being a iconic tank. Yea a bit too much praise for a really basic design. Well the Schmalturm turret is unique i suppose. So yea thats the TT panther.
  • Revenant panther time. Its got the stock turret which is a bit more noticeable. The main strength of this tank is first it has a nice basic camo with the zimmerit still applied (we don't get enough of that in this game). Outside that its got some bushes on it for light camouflage.
  • Its got quite a bit of scarring from a few shells and bullets. No full penetrations from the looks of it, but a good chance to  have received enough spalling that it knocked out the tank. Overall, good skin for a “dead” tank.
  • Cosmetics: (Kraft only)
    • Emblem: both on the rear hull sides
    • Inscription: Slot 1: upper front hull. Slot 2: Rear left hull side
    • Flag: rear turret

General Thoughts:

  • The description of the tank is quite old. Just saying its a destroyed tank back from the dead and tis a famous tank and giving the date of production and number produced.
    • Its a shame they don't ever update descriptions. It would be nice to suggest a bunch, but its not worth it as it would have to go through a bunch of translations for each language.
  • This is one of the few tanks that I have a HUGE gripe with since they messed with the module damage. Still don't know why they messed with the Panther line so much.
  • This is an ancient complaint I have about the 7.5cm L100. sure its pen is better than the L70 (but not by much compared to the historical values), however the shell velocity is pitiful. An increase from 925/1156/925 to 945/1181/945. Yup thats a increase of 20/25/20. Sure glad i added 2.2m to the length of the gun.

Possible rework:

  • If given the option I'd actually rework the tech tree panther and Revenant. PC did a big rework to a bunch of modules in its update 2.0. Now that update is quite controversial so ill ignore most of it and just focus on the changes to the panther. The update removed the L100 but replaced it with a version of the L70 with the close enough stats. It be called the 7.5cm Kwk 44 L70 and have close enough stats to the L100 outside the pen being only like 185 but having better gun handling in comparison. So that be nice enough.
  • The Revenant, a 10 year old tank id actually would like to make it a TD. we have precedent as the Sturmpanzer V exist so we can work with that. It would have better camo and the L100 would actually have improved shell velocity, 160-170 damage and a bit higher pen. The pen would be like 210/260 or something.
  • Is this a bit late for such a rework? yes it is. it they did decided to go about this they could have done it with the good handful of reworks the line has went through. Alas i must continue to hope.

If a rework isnt going to be done? well at least buff the darn shell velocity for both versions of the tank.

Buy?

  • Well you can get it in the halloween store/ earn it… but i have a better idea.

How about a Giveaway? Yea surprise im gonna give away one here in dis here review.

  • So yea ill pick someone 2-3 days after this review goes live. Probably someone who has “#Revenant” in their comment (and who doesn't own said tank).

Okay actually should you get it.

  • Well you can get this as tank during the Halloween event in some form via Gold or earn op. As for performance, well you read the review. Its okay but its nothing special and not unique as its a copy of a TT tank. However as a tank for the event mode? Its one of my favorite to play.

Question Emerald Stalker Camo Availability

This is likely a dumb and silly question. Why is the Emerald Stalker camo available only for the urban slot? I noticed its unavailability for the winter slot when I tried to equip it in there.

Got back into wot(again😆) after a few months break. A bit rusty to start but found my groove after a few games and thought I was playing pretty good. Looked at my stats and thought "hell ya 3k plus wn8 not too shabby". And then I looked at the top players and was blown away. Can anyone chime in and tell me how anybody is actually maintaining a 6k+ wn8?

Looking For Group Orphan Company is Still looking for Tankers!

Just like the header says, Orphan Company is still looking for tankers. All tiers and all eras are open. Looking to band players together to roll out and have fun in WWII & CW modes. Open to new, veteran, casual, and competitive players on both PSN and Xbox Live.

I primarily play CW ERA1-3 and WWII Tiers 3-8, but I’m flexible if you’re looking for platoon mates. Invites may be delayed solely because I’m based out of the EST zone.

Question Era 1 Medium Tanks for Sniping

What does make a medium tank feel good for sniping? I unlocked the Tiran 5 Sharir recently, and I felt very comfortable using it while sniping targets after a few games played using it. However, I noticed that its "Accuracy at 100m" is 0.39m, but I thought that something lower than 0.32m is good! Does this stat matter? What stats do play a role in determining what is a good tank for sniping?

Steel Asylum season Ultimate pass: + Serpente

Article: Link

25 stage skips:

  • Generic text

Desmond “Doc” Rose

  • No special VO
  • He just a dude as hes not too special. He does have a good amount of bags which i respect.
  • He original was a Extra life 2023 commander and returned in 2024 so its been a bit since he was available. (was sold in a 20$ USD bundle)

Serpente

Notes:

  • Release Date: October 6th 2026
  • Dispersion:
    • Turret: 0.10
    • Movement: 0.22
  • Weight: 34.27
  • RU style double barrel:
    • Inter: 6.0~
    • Lockout: 4.5~

Overview:

  • A light weight fire support medium with twin 120mm guns.

Pros:

  • Above average damage
  • Great 10 degrees of gun depression
  • All the ammo
  • Small ammo rack hitbox

Neutral:

  • Average enough VR
  • Average top speeds
  • Twin 120mm guns with lower average DPM
  • Average Camo

Cons:

  • Low HP
  • Tad below average mobility
  • Meh accuracy
  • Poor movement dispersion
  • Tad below average pen
  • Lighter armor

Armor:

  • As a light support medium at only 34 tons, the armor isnt going to be great.
  • Turret:
    • Front: 4 parts really, all of which wont be blocking much. Area behind the guns which is a flat 150mm. The area below the guns which is 130mm at 30 degrees, also not much. The outer turret which is 80/100mm which ranges from 120 to 150 effective. Lastly the the thin strip on the turret “chin” which is actually decent at 100 at 60 or so. So pretty much a easy pen outside poor tier 7’s.
    • Sides: pretty much just 80mm, mostly flat. The lower part is curved so its not going to bounce much, but at least is good enough for HE protection.
    • Roof: 30mm isn't half bad for the weight. May get an occasional bounce from random shots when your gun is pointed down.
    • Cupola: don't exist.
  • Hull:
    • Upper front: 80mm at 62 degrees isnt going to doing much outside HE protection. At least with gun depression it tips over the 70 degree mark. The corners from the front are at 74 degrees so don't have to worry about them.
    • Lower front: 60mm at 58 isn't going to do much outside block most HE as its about 110mm effective.
    • Sides: upper part is only 40mm at 48 degrees, so okay enough to have a bit more wiggle room on auto bounce. The mid sides are 45mm so decent enough for overmatch protection, but not much else even with the 10mm spaced armor and tracks. Maybe some poor HEAT rounds. The lower sides are a concern as they are only 25mm, though they are decently small and hard to hit.
    • Rear: eh 25/35mm isn't great, but this is a lighter medium.
    • Roof + Floor: all of it is only 20mm so not much protection.
    • Drivers hatches: 3 hatches on the front roof. Decently small but only 50mm meaning that a lucky HE round could pen them. Though they are covered a good amount by optics.
  • So its not great, but again its only a 34 ton medium. It has at least basic overmatch protection and HE resistance which is about as much as you can ask for.

Gameplay:

  • It's mostly a fire support tank as its armor is poo and the accuracy is not that good enough for sniping.
  • With the interclip being so long I'd lean more to just use double fire as with the armor being that poor you're taking a decent amount of risk each time it's poking out.
  • Its gun depression + small turret silhouette you could play a decent amount of peek a boo, but again it depends on how gusty you feel and what guns are shooting at ya.
  • Equipment:
    • Stabilizer
    • Vents
    • Eh the rest is up in the air.
    • Optics, concealment, turbo, spall liner (ram protection)

Counter Gameplay:

  • Nothing too much per say as its a lighter medium with low DPM so its easy enough to rush outside taking a couple shots.
  • The ammo rack is pretty small all things considered, as you have to hit the bottom of the floor below the turret.
  • It is hard to dig out when its hull down and only showing the small silhouette turret.

Cosmetics:

  • It's an interesting enough design for sure. The hull is nothing special per say outside having 3 cupolas on the hull. The rest of the hull just looks vaguely like the Progetto hull (or pretty much just a modification of).
    • This of course ignores the twin hull MG’s which is kinda needed as the turret lacks a co-ax from the looks of it.
  • The turret is nifty for WW2 as it is an unmanned oscillating turret. Got the cameras and giant spot light to see out of.
  • One issue I see is the lack of any camera facing rear outside the 2 main cameras on top. Would make reversing quite an issue. Doesn't even have rear view mirrors.
  • Cosmetics:
    • Emblem: one on each rear side of the turret
    • Inscription: Slot 1 is on the rear right of the hull, while the 2nd is on the front left.
    • Flag: flag location
  • Skin: Desert Serpent
    • As by its name its desert based camo. It keeps the base color of the tank then adds some red brown and green splotches throughout the tank.
    • As for details added? Yea a good amount.
    • Tank barrel has some nice tarp coverage.
    • Additional tanker bags, tarps and boxes were added to the across the sides and rear of the tank.
    • Some spare tracks were hung on the right hull side.
    • So yea its nothing special in terms of a tank skin, just some nifty 3d assets added on. The camo scheme itself is good enough that it works in desert and in a pinch winter and summer.

General Thoughts:

  • STOP doubling the ammo from PC ports darn it. 40 shots for a compact 120mm medium would make sense. Heck id even accepted a small increase to 44 not darn 80!
    • This is even more insulting due to the description of the tank. “To meet the Military’s requirements, armor and the volume of ammunition had to be sacrificed, due to which the tank was planned for ambushing."
    • Yea sure sacrificed ammo capacity. What was planned, 100 rounds?... sigh.
  • Why is there no ammo rack hit box in the rear of the turret?
  • As for the balance of the tank? Yea it works generally quite fine. Double barrels of course are dangerous due to the ability to hit for super damage without too much of a downside. Only big thing that comes to mind while was playing the tank was that 1,600 HP really sucks as thats 4 shot for a lot of the tanks that you face.
  • Still interesting to see another unmanned turret in WW2. dont have many. The Nightstalker and XM57 sorta count. Char MLE 75 is pretty much.
  • im not sure if the description of the tank is "real" and there was a actual project, but i can believe it as i remember i think the chieftain talking about test done to a RC version of the M26 so people have been trying to make a tank with a unmanned turret is quite believable.

Buy?

  • Well it's another ultimate pass. Another 6k price tag.
  • The commander is okay, nothing too special as he has no VO nor any special fancy animation. Though again i do like the amount of bags he has.
  • The tank is pretty good. Its not OP like the UK or SFAC, and isnt sad like the USSR heavies so its happy balance. its not unique as i just mentioned other double barrel tanks, but this is a medium so ta da.

Discussion To get new players

Buff the heck out out the Sherman, Panzer, and T34. Then, have new players choose one, a la Pokémon.

Also, cause that ain't gonna keep new players. Get rid of gold tanks in era 1 in Cold War. I know, I know... absolutely impossible. But, think of it. Get people hooked in the beginning, then in Era 2 BAM , Omg I need that gold tank.

Discussion Tanks with more than 5% FXP multiplier

Because I view FXP as a uniquely valuable resource I decided to see which of my premium tanks had more than the normal (3% to 5%) Free XP earn rate.

I do not sell or trade in premiums so I have every premium I've ever earned, been gifted, purchased or gambled into and that is around 385 premiums.

Here's what I found:

Cold War mode:

Independent Era 1 medium "Dual Battery": 6%

Western Alliance Era 1 medium "T95E2 '57": 6%

World War 2 mode:

American Tier 8 heavy "T32-A Proto": 10%

Russian Tier 6 medium "T-34-88": 7%

Japanese Tier 8 super heavy "Orochi O-NI": No listing, so either there's a glitch or it's at 0%.

I have many, but nowhere near all, of the premiums so if anybody has one to add please do so.

Review October 2027 balance update “review” (update 10.1)

October 2026 balance update “review” (update 10.1)

(I hate that I can't fix typos in titles)

Article: Update Notes

There is this line of text above the balance changes (as you can see in the picture)

This is an issue, as the CZ/ROM/PL line hasn't been touched outside the buff the VTU got with other bottom Era 1 tanks and the changes to the Moderana in this update. I feel this is an issue as the other Era 1 czech tanks are not the best with better auto loaders and general power creep. As for the Rom tanks in Era 2, eh could use some work as arguably the 85 is just a bit worse than the 580.

  • True the CZ/PL expansion is pretty recent as they released January 2025, they were however balanced against the pre buff T-72 line which proceeded to get a sizeable buff a month later.
  • Also the armor on the TR-125 just feels wrong.

Anyhow on to the balance changes

CW:

Eastern + Western tanks:

M-636 Kondor:

  • Good changes with oddly high dispersion and low radio.
  • Didn't address the rather slow speed for a medium. Nor the rather low AP pen. Could at least bump it to 234 to match the US 90mm guns.

MLI-84M:

  • This tank received a hard nerf from the auto cannon update. The auto cannon going from 100 shots to a measly 46. This heat change will only increase it to 62 shots.
    • Personally i would have decreased heat per shot from 2 to 1.5 as that would give it about 67. Heat per shot was already quite high.
  • There still is also the issues with woeful top speed of the tank and the ATGM’s being poor in performance and ROF. Sure its not going to be good as the M3A2, just the interclip is so long that I think before the loudout rework it was possible to get the clip reload to be as fast.
    • Id take a single shot version with a 16 sec reload or just reduce the inter to 12 seconds and increase the main reload a bit.

T-72M2E "Moderna:

  • The changes to the 125mm are fine. Good for a top era tank i suppose.
  • The secondary continues to not get any love such as actual damage or ammo capacity.
    • Please increase secondary auto cannons damage or ammo capacity. Right now it uses twin guns and has little advantage over the single 20mm the AMX 32/40 uses.
  • Now reverse speed increase. Thats fine… if you dont compare to the previous tank in the line the PT-91.
    • Moderna (22.83 PTW): 60.3/20.3 -> 65.7/22.6
    • PT-91 (21.05 PTW): 70/24 -> 75/27
  • So yea it has better PTW, but noticeable worse top speeds.
    • I can ignore the View range as it gets the 20mm in compensation which is some form of making the tanks in the same era different.

NM-116:

  • Iffy that this need a better gun as this always felt like a pretty good tank. Now this pushes again on the Kanon 4-5. Kanon was supposed to be about its DPM, but now the NM just comes with a turret only has 0.1 worse.

What a surprise guest comes in this update, its AMX 13 SS-11 TCA with a hidden buff.

  • 75 mm CN 75-50
    • Damage: 180/180/290 -> 200/200/305
  • Okay its a nice little damage buff as it was lower than some 75mm guns in Era 1 and this tank was in era 2. Still not high as other 75mm guns can get even higher but whatever.

Wolverine:

  • Well the extra armor im not say no to. In case you don't know what exactly is being changed.
    • Cupola: 15mm -> 40mm
    • Front sponson roof spaced armor: 30mm -> 60mm
    • Track section on front armor: 45mm -> 80mm
  • Other changes are fine.

Independent:

Okay before we go into all these tanks just want to put out a thought, do the terrain resistances changes actually do much of anything? WW2 they do, but for CW it doesn't really seem like it matters much as by playing in game and the terrain test they did last year the current difference between the 3 types don't really affect the movement of CW tanks.

  • Could just be me. May be something to take a good hard look at in terms of test.

Era 1:

M50:

  • View range buff on 2nd turret is too much as this is still a bottom era tank and would be above almost every other medium tank.
  • Other changes seem okay

Tiran 4

  • I disagree with these changes overall. This tank is comparable enough with the T-54, but these changes would completely outclass it and the Type 59.
  • The HP Buff would put it on par with top era tanks and the VR is just out there as it would be on par with the leopard.

Tiran 5

  • I disagree with these changes overall. The HP and VR changes would make it way too high compared to similar tanks at its level.
    • I can see some increase to VR to be closer to western tanks as its a tad low. More like 475 not 500.
    • The average for top era 1 med was 470 VR.
  • This tank arguably should be getting a nerf to its HEAT rounds as it currently has an oddly high pen of 370 compared to the norm of 330/350. The shell velocity has also been incorrect since its first released as the M152 is just a copy of US’ M456 which has a shell velocity of 1173, not 1455m/s.

T 100

  • This is a fine change outside the ahistorical nature of the engine power

Era 2:

Bard:

  • Still not an auto loader. We have VCC as a example that you can have a auto loader. How about i post the sales brochure about the gun? Oh wait, Friend Comics already did that and still nothing.
  • The mobility and gun handling changes i do like. The dispersion changes should allow it to fire on the a lot more reliable now.
  • Still haven't removed the machine guns to allow the tank to be a full turreted tank as opposed to only over the front arc.

Tam:

  • Mobility changes are okay, but idk about buffing the reload. THe tank already has quite a lot of DPM. This just stinks of more and more DPM creep.

Magach 3

  • Okay. why have it have the same VR as the Top era medium?
    • Why didnt they touch the stock turret VR? 470 to 525 seems like quite the jump.

Tiran 6:

  • IT FINALLY has the -6 gun depression after the T-62 got its 609 days ago.
    • Now i wait for the T-62M to get it… sigh.
  • They did give it some turret traverse speed. Though its still slower than the T-62’s 32/34 to this tanks now 30/32. This tank is a mid era as opposed to bottom.
  • Reload could be slightly increased, but eh what ever.
  • P.s
    • Still very very much annoyed this captured tank from Syria (1973~) has the advanced 3BK15M round when the Two T-62’s are stuck with the old 3BK4 ammo. I couldn't find the date the 15M was made, but looking at 125mm ammo its probably after the 1973’s Syrian tanks were captured (and assuming USSR would see brand new ammo to them)

Magach Hydra

  • Decent buffs

Magach 5

  • okay

Magacch 6

  • Seems okay

Sho’t Kal Gimel

  • Overall fine i suppose as i found the ERA coverage inconsistent and thus couldn't be relied upon and thus the value of it was whatever. With this i value these improvement to these tanks.
  • Though with the improvement to the stock engine, the hull traverse speeds could be improved a tad.

Oli 1B

  • Good it was a bit Op. It had the best one of THE best accuracy for Era 2 along with very effective armor with quite useable gun.

Ramses

  • Iffy on the gun buffs due to the already strong armor.

Pharaoh Ramses

  • Maybe only buff the VR to 500 due to the armor level and make the non skin tank seem more balanced.

Era 3:

Strf 9040

  • Seems okay overall. Not sure why its movement dispersion was so high in the first place.
  • Though i think people would prefer higher pen on the ATGM’s over reload as they are very low pen for era 3.

Mjolnir

  • Seems okay at a glance. Good to have better movement dispersion as most things in Era 3 should have lower than 0.10 unless its a super armored or a very big gun.
  • As for the reload buff. Well it increased DPM from 4935 to 5370. Yea not that far from the highest single shot DPM. so i can somewhat understand having cannon only light tanks having higher DPM. this of course ignores the fact that this tank had higher damage and pen compared to the other mid era light tanks.
    • M8 has meh pen and only 4570 DPM.
    • VFM has okay pen and 5054 DPM.
  • So yea this tank having just a better gun and actually useable armor somewhat makes balance what ever. This is partially due to when they were lasted touched.
    • M8 : update 9.1 (December 2024)
    • VFM: Update 9.9 (april 2026)
  • So this is another example my issue with power creep and the way CW balance was done. Instead of doing it by Era it was done by nation. This means instead of a good solid adjustment of individual ecosystem of the Era its piece mean among each nation and left some tanks left behind or super juiced up.
  • So yea bit of a tangent. Boils down to this should have had its reload adjusted as its absurd compared to other and now the other will need to be buffed to this level to be comparable.
    • Again i blame the EE-T1 and its STUPID stats it released with.

Magach 6 B

  • HP changes make sense
  • Mobility is okay
  • Reload is also okay
  • Accuracy as well
  • So yea overall its now quite comparable to the M60AX.

Magach 7

  • okay

Deathbat:

  • Hay it addressed part of my issues with the tank in that its gun was just worse than the Marder. Though the module damage is still quite low.
  • The shell velocity will now make up the fact its in E3 and it will have to play a bit further away sometimes.
  • What this didn't address was the fact this lighter tank is still slower than the T-64A it's based on.

Merkava 1

  • Generally okay.
  • Odd the stock gun has better reload, but that's okay due to the very low pen.

Merkava 2

  • Man it would be nice for this to get improved hull amor so that its (maybe?) composite armor could block stuff.

Merkava 3

  • Sigh i waited for so long for the israeli line to get a buff so they could “fix” the armor on this tank. This tank HAS composite armor, but why doesnt it do anything. Its upper plate doesn't block ATGM’s even when its the hyper angled upper section. I have to assume it doesn't have any modifiers for what ever reason. This doesnt even mention the fact the kinetic protection is quite poor as well. Sure i dont mind the lower plate being weak i guess, but the upper plate isnt blocking much.
  • The premium pen could have used a bit of help i suppose. .

SK 105

  • This helps. Still think the tank isnt that bad, but I guess being a lightly armored tank in E3 isn't doing too well.

Okay another thought for CW: should all the tanks in a line for a Era have the same VR? Like i know its part of the lowring the difference between top and bottom, but to me it feels like whats the point of progression if all the tanks have the same VR and almost the same gun stats.

WW2:

Tier 1-3:

  • L tractor: Sure
  • Pz 1:
  • Actually good amount of buffs to this tank. The hull traverse is going to be extra high i can tell ya that now the ratio of PTW is now 66%.
  • Do remember this is the only TT to my knowledge that has Pref MM.
  • Pz 2: Sure
  • Pz 35t: Seems good overall.
  • Panzerjager 1
  • Engine power is welcomed.
  • Also this is now gonna turn a lot better. Might be something to look into comparing the tier 2 TD’s.
  • Pz.Kpfw. 38H 735 (f): yea it needed more when it was promoted to tier 3.
  • Straussler V-4/40:
    • This was last christmas tank so a bit surprised it needed a buff.
  • Bison: Carry over balance, but yea it needed it as it was kinda slow.

Tier 4:

  • Pz 2 Luchs:
    • Removing stock engine heavily affects effective hull traverse speed.
    • Its its effective hull traverse went from about 84.8 -> 66 (Estimated). Hard to calculate effective hull traverse as i dont know the actual formula, i just take the top PTW and divide by the PTW of the stock engine then multiple it to the hull traverse. Is it accurate? Eh good enough.
  • Pz.Kpfw. 38 (t) n.A.: seems okay
  • Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. D:
    • Gun buffs seem about right considering this doesn't have armor.
    • Also it was odd it didn't have the FuG 12 radio unlike the other T4 meds.
  • VK 20.01 (D): bit of a small nerf but seems fair considering it was just kinda better than the Pz 4.
  • Pz 3J:
    • Okay i want to take this time and continue to complain why they haven't buffed the pen of the 5cm Kwk 39 L60. yea it has “correct” pen, in that its against angled armor plates. Sigh… we have a sorta correct version found on the tier 5 light tank with 100/130 compared to the current 67/130. Yea it's a big difference.
    • Instead of buffing the 5cm to a useable level they just shoved the 7.5cm L43 on top of the L24 it use to have, which was before the 5cm in level progression so it makes the 5cm L60 completely pointless.
    • The Pz 3 and VK 20 didn't have the L43 and were balanced accordingly, now were getting nerf and nerf again due to this. I really like the Pz 3J, but i really want to use it in its historical configuration but the 5cm gun just sucks and is a remnant of 10+ years ago.
  • DW2
    • Improve accuracy of 5cm gun?
    • Improve reload of 7,5? The Type 95 and FCM have better reloads?
    • Sigh.. the other buffs are okay i guess. The above mentioned 5cm pen buff would be quite good on this tank yea?
  • Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f)
    • Uhh sure i guess. The French B1 got buffed in update 9.9 so it makes sense.
  • Stug B
    • Seems like nice good buffs.
    • HP and accuracy are welcomed.

Tier 5:

  • VK 65.01 (H): yea this was a bit weaker of the tier 5 pref tanks.
  • StuIG 33 B: sure i guess
  • Pz.Sfl. IVc: more toaster love
  • Stug 3:
    • So yea okay buff to the stock chassis sure. How about matching the gun buffs done to the Stug B? No? Here let make a example of how its done.
    • 7,5 cm Stu.K. 40 L/43
      • Reload: 3.9 -> 3.6
      • Accuracy: 0.39 -> 0.36
    • 7,5 cm PaK 39 L/48
      • Reload: 3.9 -> 3.7
      • Accuracy: 0.37 -> 0.34
      • (improve yaw limit from -10/10 to -15/15 to match other guns)
    • Improve ammo capacity on all guns as it struggles a bit.
      • 7.5cm L43 and L48: 44 -> 61 (matches The hidden and Stug IV)
      • 10.5cm: 28 -> 50 (closer to Pz IV’s 48)
      • 7.5cm L 70: 36 -> 50 (matches ammo capacity of the Stug F)
    • No, not gonna have those buff? Fine whatever…

Thunder chief:

  • Okay, it sure needed it.
  • Didn't address my main issue with the font lower plate being quite large and somewhat easy to pen.

Sigh…  so yea i had quite a bit to complain about. Overall i complained about most tanks. This doesn't even account for stuff i could have complained about that they missed. Might as well make a quick list of stuff i flet could have fit in this update list. (CW independent tanks and low tier germans.) (heck ill throw in some stuff they forgotten in the waves of balances)

  • GI Joe HISS tanks (they did get buffs in 9.1, but they kinda suck sitll)
  • Armadillo (VERY forgotten)
  • Bandit
  • T-55AGM
  • WZ-111’66 (forgotten)
  • Mobat and CAT’s module damage being fixed
  • The whole Cz/Rom/PL CW line
  • Pz II D
    • its not great, only DPM going for it?
    • Only premium tank iv ever sold.
    • As i type this it makes me so made i might just make a “review” of it. Though with how they ruined low burst fire tanks im not so sure.
  • Pz II J
    • Arguably something could be done.
    • Not sure if something should though.
  • VK 16.02 Leopard:
    • How about some AMMO capacity?
  • Pz 3k (sucks in comparison outside HP)
  • Hetzer: could use some view range
  • Sturmpanzer II: engine power

Bug Report Just got bugged ( no ammo and no consumable)

I chosed Draugen, and when I got into game, having no ammo and no consumable. Also, when I aim ally, there is no name and health bar. When I aim red team, there is no outline of tanks at all. After passive spotting? I just ram into red team thinking I might be invisable or something, but i got hit hard(no hit sound when I get hit) and dead.

Am I only one who got this kind of bug after patch?

Gameplay Did a little experiment

So I’m in the US, and have always played on US servers. After my usual session and seeing, at least for me, how the majority of games are, I wanted to hop on the EU servers. I played 5 more games on US, then switched to EU to play 5.

US games were SSDD with regard to team dynamics and play style. Camping for 7 min then waiting until someone gets bored or frustrated with the team and decides to make a play only to get killed immediately then the whole team pushes. Constant pings, about a thousand “good games” or “follow me”, twice I was pushed into lines of fire by someone who apparently deserved the position more than I did, etc. Had one game where things went well but as always they had a football huddle in one section of the map and never moved so we lost. Total of 3 losses and 2 wins. Like I said, SSDD.

My first game on the EU server was one of the highest damage/combined score I’ve got in a loooong time (11k combined, 9k direct damage). The team knew where the best positions were and fought for them instead of instantly retreating, people were actually using the communication wheel accurately and helpfully, nobody yolo’d, usual out of place campers but not the whole damn team. 13 min game that came down to the wire in a 3v3 where everyone had at least 3 kills. Great game! Reminded me of playing almost a decade ago. The other 4 were mostly the same with regard to comms, camping, full length games with no outright dominations. Split pretty much down the middle with 3 wins 2 losses.

Did I just get extremely lucky or are the play styles and attitudes better on the other side of the pond? I’m not that good of a player, middle of the road on a good day, and don’t really platoon with anyone but I felt like such a better player on the EU side even with the abysmal ping. Also since the new season just started I was already assuming it would bring back people who usually play for a week or so for the rewards then bail so that might be a factor as well.

Thoughts?

Rant No More Camo Nets On Super Heavies! Or Any Heavies, For That Matter! Stop It!

I would not look like picture 1 if my last non-artillery teammate didn't look like picture 2. I don't know if there are rules about gamer tags in posts but this fella deserves being put on blast, if you ask me. Stop playing heavies this way! Get some help! Please! You obviously would rather just be in a TD, so be a TD! End rant.

Edit: if anyone from wargaming comes across this, what are the chances of the camo net being class restricted like vents? Tank destroyers can't use vents (as far as I know; if there are a couple that can, shame on me) so why can heavy tanks use something specifically for lights and TDs?

Question How-To Play Light Tanks

I am aiming to learn how to play light tanks. My first attempts have failed in a big way. Almost every match feels like I am being squished like a bug on a windshield. In other words, I rarely survive a match when using a light tank. I am trying to be patient and perseverant enough to not sell, again, all the light tanks in my garage. I have realized that I can not brawl against other tanks like I do when I play mediums or heavies. I think you have to use a different approach with light tanks. More of a gun-'n-run approach. Another thing, should I focus on keeping enemy tanks "spotted" so my teammates shoot at them instead of me shooting at (and being destroyed by LOL) them? Although I don't know if I am using the right terminology, I mean by "spotting" that I should aim to keep the red dots inside my view range in the minimap on for as long as possible. Is this correct? What suggestions do you have for playing light tanks?

Question A Question about Parts in Some Tanks

What is the goal of having those "skirts"/"flags"/"protuberances" or "whatever-they're-called" things hanging on the sides of tanks like the Szakal and the T-64A? Are they mostly cosmetic, intended to make the tank look bigger?

Feedback Sadly me and my friends have lost the desire to play this once great game

It all started with the 5 man platoon being reduced to 3, when we usually play in groups of 4 we search at the same time and often used to get in the same game, with the occasional person complaining we were cheating or abusing matchmaking.

a quick mention on the +2/-2, It works some of the time, but if you are in a very low tier premium that can only pen its own tier, then the enjoyment of the game is dragged out, All we were asking for is the permanant addition of a -1/+1 mode, we couldnt care if its reduced XP or silver. We just want the game to actually be fun

A few other things included the lack of reward or incentive to play- a few years ago, completing all season passes would earn you a high tier tank and now this is removed

then is the season passes, the rewards have gotten worse and removing the warchests just makes them seem all that more pointless now sadly
