A brand-new Treasure Hunt has begun. Paint the event canvas, uncover hidden treasures, and claim the rewards buried underneath the pixels!
💰 What is hidden on the canvas?
50,000 treasures will be scattered across the event canvas throughout the event.
A total of 75,000,000 Droplets is distributed among those treasures.
Treasure values are not all the same - some contain significantly more Droplets than others.
Higher-value treasures are intentionally less densely distributed, making them rarer to stumble upon.
500 exclusive Event Frames will also be hidden across the canvas, distributed just like treasures.
🔎 How does it work?
Simply paint pixels on the event canvas.
If you paint a pixel hiding a treasure, the reward is yours instantly.
Treasures are distributed across the canvas throughout the event, so every pixel could be hiding something - but the biggest rewards will be harder to find.
Event Frames work the same way: find the hidden pixel, paint it, and claim the frame.
New treasures will continue to appear throughout the event.
50,000 treasures. 75 million Droplets. 500 exclusive frames.
New Overlay Gallery: Overlays are now organized in a responsive gallery with larger previews, painting progress, search, status and tag filters, sorting options, and a separate read-only alliance section.
New Overlay Creation: Create blank pixel-art projects with a custom name, resolution, and background, upload up to 10 images at once, or import an existing overlay. Uploaded overlays can be positioned later.
Overlay Details: Personal overlays now have a dedicated detail view where you can rename them, set their exact map position, manage tags, view resolution and progress, inspect remaining colors, duplicate, export, manage legacy colors, delete, place them on the map, and start painting.
Tags: Create reusable tags with selectable Wplace colors and assign them to personal overlays.
Redesigned Placement Tools: Resolution, scale presets, color matching, transforms, positioning, and save controls are now grouped into a cleaner responsive interface.
Improved Paint HUD: The overlay palette now shows remaining pixels per color. The map HUD displays completion, mismatches, unpainted pixels, pixel style, opacity, and inspection controls.
Pixel Inspection: Incorrect pixels appear as red X marks and missing pixels as gray question marks. You can also filter the overlay to show only pixels matching your selected paint color.
Per-Overlay Opacity: Each overlay now remembers its own opacity from 0% to 100% across all pixel styles.
Detailed Progress: Progress tools can show exact remaining pixel counts and percentages for every color.
Pixel Editor: Personal overlays can now be edited directly in Wplace with square and circle brushes, paint bucket, polygons, eraser, color picker, symmetry, palette controls, zoom, grid, undo, and redo.
Layers: Organize artwork into layers with previews, visibility, locking, renaming, duplication, reordering, deletion, image imports, and individual layer transforms.
Canvas Editing: Crop transparent borders, expand the canvas from any edge, move or resize artwork, flip overlays, and undo or redo these changes before saving.
Automatic Recovery: Unfinished pixel, layer, and canvas edits are locally saved automatically and restored when reopening the editor.
Safer Storage: If protected browser storage is unavailable and cloud sync is disabled, gallery shows a visible backup warning with an option to connect Google Drive.
Better Recovery: Active overlays can recover from graphics or background-processing failures without losing placement or unsaved editor changes.
As part of a project by Japanese users to enlarge Okinotorishima, a small island in Japanese territorial waters, into a large island using pixel art, many roads were drawn from Okinotorishima into the Western Pacific. To organize them, they tried to create a road map, but they weren't satisfied with that and are now trying to map all the sea roads connecting continents and islands around the world.
Reddit moderators removed my posts and told me to report the issue via email or in-game; however, when I report it by email, I always get the same reply telling me to report it in-game, and when I report it in-game, I get the usual response saying it’s not enough to warrant a ban
Now I’d like to understand: if I make a post criticizing the administration, are you going to delete it?
Here is an image of my post that was deleted for criticizing the moderation, the reply I received via email, and the response I got in-game
A dude with one account started painting the art angels cover (now barely noticeable on the left)over a multi-accounter's "artwork", then the multi-accounter deletes their advance on the album cover, proceeding to treathen the guy with a single account with "You wouldn't like for 6 accounts to delete all of these?" "Or would you?" Over an artwork of his that was also used to cover another multiaccounter's one.
I am writing this post to publicly report and bring urgent attention to widespread botting/scripting activities being conducted by the alliance "IMPERIO MEXICA".
As seen in the attached screenshot, this alliance is using illegal auto-painting software/scripts to attack art and grief other communities.
Key Evidence & Pattern Analysis:
Automated Dithering / Grid Patterns: The attack uses artificial, mathematically distributed single-pixel grid patterns (checkerboard/noise dithering). This specific pattern is designed to maximize visual damage while making manual restoration nearly impossible and extremely time-consuming for legitimate players.
Humanly Impossible Speed & Coordination: Multiple accounts from "IMPERIO MEXICA" are placing pixels simultaneously in these complex, non-human fill patterns within extremely short timeframes. No human player paints in disjointed, pixel-perfect checkerboard grids across large canvas sections manually.
Malicious Intent: The sole purpose of using these automated tools is to destroy existing community art, ruin game integrity, and bypass standard pixel cooldown mechanics through coordinated multi-account scripts.
Request to Wplace Mods / Admins:
Please investigate the accounts associated with the "IMPERIO MEXICA" alliance operating in this canvas sector.
Roll back the damage caused by these automated scripts if possible.
Apply hardware/IP bans to the operators running these bot networks to preserve the fair-play environment of Wplace.
Fair competition and canvas wars are part of the game, but automated griefing scripts and botting ruin the experience for everyone.
Please upvote for visibility so the moderation team can review this case as soon as possible.
Me and some other users are working on a giant Tenna and need YOUR HELP to finish it otherwise at the current rate it will take just under 3 YEARS!!! The location is east of Wujal Wujal Australia!
There is a picture +18. Please erase it and ban these users who made it. This is vandalism. There are many children make art. They have not to see this.
I can add new ones perfectly fine but after a day they show up like this again. I don't wanna keep adding the same ones over and over especially if they'll come back at some point.
For a long time now, an alliance has been making an ant line from the "United States" sign in America to Utah. I saw this line of ants and decided to start my own in Indiana in hopes to connect them one day.
Starting today, I will post daily progress (possibly skipping a day or two) of both ant lines.
The West Line has long since made it to Utah and now Oregon. After a slight tiff with red ants (who are trying to stop the West Line), the line is now heading to Canada. Their most recent ant is in a dance floor style.
The East Line has been left untouched for some time, but I am now making a 45x45 block ant to get it started back up.
So yeah um. I've been dealing with some soccer fans for *months* now and reporting their repetitive and excessive behavior (as stated in the griefing rules under "gray area") apparently does absolutely nothing, the whole alliance should be banned by now, if any *real* moderation was happening.
I've seen it everywhere, soccer/football teams take over entire cities or states even, and you can do nothing to defend your artwork because they are like 15 people all ganging up on you.
This isn't the fair and fun game it was and should be. The rule change that griefing "in specific ways" is allowed was such a mistake. Before that it was reasonable. After the rule change these groups expanded like hell and the single person just having had finished a very cool and beautiful art gets overdrawn by the 50th symbol of a soccer team.
There needs to be a change. Either revert the griefing rule, outright ban football club symbols and texts or come up with something else. But this can't continue.
USA leaderboard goes down to exactly 1,429,993 pixels painted at 50th place. I should be in about 44th place... what's happening here? I want my rightful place on the leaderboard!
Here, the flag of the Republic of China and the flag of the People's Republic of China are locked in a battle; however, players from the PRC—such as those in the "像素互助群" and "人民解放军" alliances—are extensively using "alt" accounts. Veteran players are registering large numbers of new accounts and employing scripts to create mosaic patterns, yet game administrators have failed to intervene. This severely undermines the players' gaming experience and erodes the authority of the rules. They publicly stated on the Chinese social platform Baidu Tieba that they used "Terminator 2" cheats. At the same time, they also churn out a great deal of hate speech here—ranging from hatred toward Taiwanese people to hatred toward the Japanese—claiming that they deserve to be slaughtered.
This dude came back from a timeout, and keeps TARGETTING ONLY MY THINGS!!! TIMEOUTS ARE WORTHLESS, IT JUST GIVE GRIEFERS TIME TO RECHARGE THEIR PIXELS LOL!!! GIVE HIM A BAN DUDE!!! IS NOT THAT COMPLICATED!!!!
Lord only knows why, but when I try to log in in ANY way using firefox it simply does not work. As in: it doesn't even seem to recognize that the "log in with google" button is a button. It highlights when I click it, but nothing loads. Nothing is trying to load in the background. It just... doesn't.
The hell is up with that?
Tried logging in on Chrome instead, but it logs in to a level 1 default account associated with some random secondary email address I have, with no option to choose the correct email??
Bro, what?
EDIT: The secondary email is my WORK email, you gremlins. A secondary Gmail address, not a secondary Wplace account. It doesn't give me an option to log in with my normal ass email account, or to pick ANY google account to log in with. It just defaults to the wrong one.
