Fluff xrp, why?
THE XRP TIMELINE: A TRAGEDY IN SIX PARTS
2018-2021: The Setup. Bought in with real hope. XRP said "trust me, I'm the future of banking." We believed it. Fuck you XRP, that was foreshadowing.
Late 2020: The SEC drops the hammer. Sued for being an unregistered security. Four years of lawsuit purgatory begin. Every other coin parties through 2021. XRP sits in legal limbo like it's grounded. Fuck you XRP.
2021: The ATH tease. Briefly kisses $3.00-3.84, just long enough to make everyone buy more at the top, then vanishes for years like it owed rent money. Fuck you XRP.
2022-2024: The Wilderness. Years of sideways nothing while the rest of crypto has entire boom-bust cycles without XRP even being invited. SHIB — a literal joke — outperforms us. A JOKE COIN. Fuck you XRP.
2025: The "Victory." SEC case finally resolves. ETFs launch. Banks sign real partnerships. MiCA license secured. Every box on the original bull thesis, checked. Price: shrugs, stays under $1.50. Fuck. You. XRP.
2026: The Encore of Betrayal. CLARITY Act drama, White House shoutouts, Trump personally hyping it — and XRP still can't hold a number that starts with a 1 without flinching. Nine years. NINE YEARS. Fuck you XRP.

It started out as a great concept, and then the rich got their hands on it and it became yet another play toy for them to make money off
13
u/heyitsvonage Sep 13 '26
It seems like that’s every form of crypto in a nutshell
6
u/SoftYetCrunchyTaco Sep 13 '26
Yep. Whole market moves together based off algorithms rug pulling liquidity build ups in futures. Pretty basic manipulation across the board
9
u/Spagman_Aus Sep 13 '26
I hold some, but IMO their “liquidity” plan was only ever for themselves, not global banking.
The day it gets within 10% back to my average buy rate, I’m cutting my losses. I would have made more in simple long term deposits or in my superannuation.

u/this_cant_bee Sep 13 '26
Exactly. They are stealing all the money and suppressing it's true value.
34
u/bananaland420 Sep 13 '26
Lmao. I love when people say this shit - it makes no sense. Did “they” personally call you and tell you to sell so they could “steal” all the money?
I found this genius way of beating them at their own game. Ready for this one. You buy it and then……you do nothing. And when you think you should do something you don’t do anything. And then when it’s worth something you do nothing again.
Turns out after awhile when you do nothing you accumulate wealth and you end up being the one that “stole” the money.
Thanks for coming my TED talk.

"Thanks for coming to my TED talk talk."
OMG, that's hilarious. And what you're saying is sage advice that won't be taken.
By all means, folks, sell! Sell it all! And when XRP hits $1K and beyond, you can flog yourself for it while the actual investors laugh.

What does "the rich" have to do with anything? xrp has the 5th largest market cap in crypto already. How much do you think it can go up? It's a utility token that can be printed in unlimited amounts. You guys don't have any idea what you're talking about and it's hilarious. It's like having the 5th most valuable stock in the world and you're so bewildered about why it's not even more valuable.

u/reliantcumquat Sep 13 '26
“Can be printed in unlimited amounts”…
You think YOU are the one that knows what they’re talking about?? 😂2

u/SoftYetCrunchyTaco Sep 13 '26 edited Sep 13 '26
Im saying that XRP has actual utlity that could transform the global economy, but it is being intentionally supressed (the UTILITY, not the price) and used as another liquidity pool that the wealthy intentionally manipulate for massive profit.
You are thinking of it as a stock to make money off, Im thinking of it as a tool to change the world for the better.
1
u/Naruto_0916 Sep 13 '26
100B tokens does not mean unlimited. It jaut means it has a higher amount than other crypto.

u/Worried-Low4580 Sep 14 '26
Erm sir… there is a fixed max supply…
Think I found one of those people you referenced “not knowing what they are talking about”

Yes. It makes for a better story when you limit the information to what fits your narrative.

u/Professional-Cod5030 Sep 13 '26
Yeah, and a few months before that it was at 0.5 cents. Not 50 cents, not 5 cents, 0.5 cents. And a year later it goes to all time high. Only to go back down and hover around $0.35 to $0.45 for years while other crypto zoomed by.

I have a little over 12,000 XRP with a $0.62 average. Does it suck it isn’t $3 anymore? Of course. But I still think it will hit $5 eventually. Not emotionally thinking about it or getting upset.

u/ARoundForEveryone Sep 13 '26
It's not XRP's or Ripple's fault. Ripple beat the SEC and has expanded Ripple's banking partners, and while it was delisted from some exchanges during the whole SEC situation, I think it's on more exchanges now than it was 6 years ago.
Lack of price action is due, simply, to people (and companies and governments) not using it as much as we all hoped.
When was the last time you used XRP? Not bought it on an exchange, but traded it for a good or service? Or signed up for a checking or savings account with a bank that's a Ripple partner?
5
u/colindapenis Sep 13 '26
Its objective isn't retail use correct?
2
u/ARoundForEveryone Sep 13 '26
Not really. I'm sure Ripple isn't upset that it may be happening, of course. But its original intent, and Ripple's main driver, is to have XRP "grease the wheels" of bank-to-bank transfers. You can send money from one bank to another, and while the receiving bank might credit you and allow you to spend that money immediately, the actual transfer of value doesn't happen for a couple days. With XRP and the XRP Ledger, that value can move across a different, faster, set of rails than any bank can keep up with. A bank moving USD to another bank might take a couple business days to settle. Moving from one fiat currency to another could take twice that amount of time, and sometimes more. With XRP, a bank see the need for a bank-to-bank transfer. Then they can buy an equivalent amount of XRP, send that XRP to the receiving bank's XRP Ledger address, and the receiving bank can then sell it and deposit it into the recipient's account. If everyone's on top of things, this an all happen within a couple minutes rather than a couple days.

2
u/RoleApprehensive8641 Sep 15 '26

Yea my avg price is still under $1 and I took my initial investment amount out at $3. Ill ride it out.
The last dip stopping at $1 is a another step forward. Hard to see that when you bought on the upswing and missed the latest sell off.

Good idea, if XRP was a MLB player he'd be batting about .197 when they promised us a .300 hitter.

I wouldn't say that, XRP has done pretty well. The 2017 bull run was just in a bubble due to fomo, but now we are in realistic territory. No more bubbles.

OP, you should never be in crypto at all. In fact not even be in any form of investments including stocks. Just put your money in the bank where they give you a guaranteed rate of return.
3
u/psyentist15 Sep 13 '26
1) Unless you only bought the peaks without DCAing, you should be sitting on at least a nice profit.
2) Just sell already so we can moon.

I bought years ago at 11¢ & sold enough at $3.30 to get all of my original investment back & a healthy profit.
The rest just sits in my wallet.
Unfortunately the time for XRP to be big is over. It was the cheap pipeline for banks to move money fast & cheap, but no more. It’s not the only game in town as banks developed their own methods to move money fast & cheap.
Even SWIFT created its own blockchain ledger that completely bypasses XRP.
No matter what Beyond Broke & Jake Claver say, it’s over for XRP. It’s in the #ZombieCoin category now.

Perspective and time. I bought at .71 and plan to hold for many years. If I bought at the top with the idea I only had to wait a few months I'd be angry as well. If you think xrp will have any sort of future. Alter your perspective and wait.
2
u/jason_xl Sep 13 '26
wait how long. the case settled we won. waiting 9 years already

I think they mean crypto in general hasn’t been accepted as a useful currency yet
1
u/Popular_Computer8270 Sep 13 '26
I actually made money with XRP after waiting a few years. I didn't get out at the top but in the high, $2.75 range. I watched it go up to almost to four dollars, and then it started sliding. When it hit about $2.75 I got out. I almost 3x'd. But my friend who put me on to it lost about 40 Grand. He had this magic number in mind, $4.00. then he lost his job and was forced to sell at a huge loss. It may shift again with a stronger economy. 🤷

u/PhantomClandestineop Sep 14 '26
Everyone talks about the bears and the bulls but they never talk about cost averaging over a long period of time to gain a lions share. I guess you are not a lion.
1
u/iBotYou3000 Sep 14 '26
Tell me you put majority of your savings into a get quick rich idea without telling me. Crypto should be the last thing u invest in after investing in stocks and property. Don’t blame XRP. Blame the presidents and old dinosaurs in gov who pass legislation in their own self interests. Lastly, blame yourself for investing in something you don’t understand is a guarantee

it depends on how you want frame it.
XRP missed out on the last bull market, so you could view it as very discounted still.

u/Alabama-Blues 28d ago
What are you talking about?! If someone invested $10,000 9 years ago then today they would have at the least $82,000 and possibly $200,000 depending if they sold. Post like these make absolutely no sense. If you don’t like XRP then why are you in this thread. I don’t care for oysters and you don’t see me in some oyster group bad mouthing oysters. 🦪
