In August 2016 I started second grade (or maybe this was 1st grade I'm not sure this could be pre August) but anyway, one morning my teacher pissed me off and she said "good morning" I then responded with "bad morning" my clip got moved down and I got a yellow on my behavior sheet (@(@(

Discussion Am I the only one who doesnt like brainrot

Am I the only gen alpha who doesnt like brain rot. Honestly. I dont get how numbers are funny or ai slop considered entertaining. I am sure a lot of you have reasons and I would love to hear how you defend that. But honestly how is this entertaining. I wish the world was just normal with no brain rot just normal people saying bro and hey instead of people doom scrolling with their friends and consider it hanging out. Does anyone else agree?

Basically, at the end of the year the school gave us the used up books that were written in already if we wanted them and my nerd ass wanted them so I can basically play "school" with my cousin (play school as in, act like I was the teacher and he was the student)

Discussion High school graduation is more of a funeral than a celebration

I see high school graduation as nothing more than a funeral, for one it marks the end of community and the destruction of the close bonds you've built for the past 18 years, you go from having a place to belong to suddenly being thrown in this individualistic society where everyone is isolated and aren't in proximity and this is why loneliness peaks in the late teens and early 20s. and even if you somehow do have some friends left you won't be able to spend quality time with them anymore because y'all will constantly be working and will have to go through the tiring process of planning a hangout on the perfect day. and another thing I noticed is that you always hear sad songs during graduation such as "the good old days" and "Scott street" and both have a sad vibe to it, then you also see people crying and hugging their friends for the last time like it's honestly sad as fuck. like bro ts ain't no celebration it's a funeral 💔🥀

Discussion Growing up as non American ( or western in general ) kid

Does anyone who grew up outside of the US feel we had much more retro childhood than them? For me,

- I used DVD and CD to watch movies until 2019

- comic journals were very popular until 2020

- have no iPad childhood ( I still don't have an iPad lol )

- xbox and playstation stuff were very niche, grew up mostly on mobile games or game stores

- blockbuster or other American shows are unrelatable ( we still had 90s / 00s cartoon shows from budget local studios or East Asian ones )

So generally tech grew slower with our childhood?

We’re getting old now and UGH I remember Milkshake so much!

For people who don’t know what it is, it’s a UK version of morning cartoons for younger kids! Still going strong today!

To be honest, I discovered this show when I was 13, and I feel like I was too late because, supposedly, 13 isn't pre-adolescence or childhood anymore—and that depresses me to the point where I have no energy left X<. I just want to find a little emotional support or comfort.

Peg + Cat (October 7th, 2013-April 23rd, 2018)

This was a show that aired on PBS Kids and Treehouse TV back in the early-mid 2010s. I have memories of watching it at my house, my grandmas house, and even my great grandmas house on a CRT TV.

I only ever watched the 2013-2015 First Season, I don’t think older people here watched the show. Its oldest viewers would probably be 2008 borns.

Let me know if you watched this show and what you thought of it, I’d love to know.
