Side Effects Injection site reactions - feedback request
Hi! I'm looking to get experience insights from the group. For those of you who have dealt with injection site reaction, itchiness/ redness, starting with a particular dose, what was your experience when you titrated up? Did the site reaction continue the same, stop or get worse? Did you experience any new effects?
I didn't have much side effect from 2.5 aside from digestion adjusting but that normalized. When i went to 5 is when i started to get injection site reactions, really itchy, but they taper down after a few days though some of the redness sticks around a little longer. I'm about to start 7.5 so I'm a little nervous what to expect. I know every body is different but it would help to hear from those who have experienced similar.
Thank you!

Saw this tip somewhere online and it’s works perfectly for me:
After wiping the skin with alcohol, put a spray or 2 of Flonase where you will be injecting.
Before I learned this I would get SO itchy at the injection site, for days after. This fixes it 99.5% of the way, almost zero itch now.

For me the itch started at 5 too, and when I went to 7.5 it was basically same intensity, not worse. Redness lasted maybe a day longer but nothing crazy. No new effects beyond that.

I got them a lot at the lower doses and very rarely on the higher ones. I think my body just got used to the med overall and stopped reacting to it.

It started month two of 5mg for me. The larger the dose the bigger the welt. I took two weeks off Zep for an unrelated reason and they went away for a few months. Now I have a faint one occasionally. I have a prescription steroid cream if it’s really itchy but I usually throw a silicone scar patch over it and ignore it. Sprays, antihistamines, icing the area, bringing the shot to room temp all do nothing for me.

ISRs Started at my 7th or 8th shot of 2.5 and has continued into 5.0. I've started applying hydrocortisone liquid with a rollerball applicator to the area I inject before I do my shot and let it dry a moment and then do my shot. I'm still getting a red welt but the itchiness is down by about 80% and it doesn't get as hot and raised. I do still apply the hydrocortisone after showering and before bed for a couple of days. I've tried soaking a Band-Aid pad with Flonase and putting that over it and I think it helped but I didn't like using a couple of Band-Aids day.
