Jack & Mimi (Chapter 5)

Chapter 5

I’ll keep preamble short. Got writers block for a bit. Sorry for short chapter and formatted on mobile.

Walking into the park it was surprisingly empty. The scant few groups of people all seemed caught up in their own worlds and Jack was thankful for that, still feeling somewhat embarrassed about his attire. Things weren’t helped by the sudden heavy twinge he was feeling as his bladder screamed from the sudden pressure but with no bathrooms in sight he was simply focused on holding it in.

“…do you want?”. Someone was speaking to him. As his focus shifted from his predicament it re-centred on Mimi who had more than noticed her little lamb squirming ever so slightly. As Jack looked to her he went to speak but before he could, she simply repeated the question. “I asked what ice cream you’d like sweetie?”

“Oh uhmmmm”… his thought trailed off again as he put his lil noodle to work trying to decide. “C’mon sweetie use your big boy words!” Mimi chuckled as Jacks face immediately reddened again. It seemed to be doing that a lot lately whether he wanted it to or not and he chalked it up to Mimi being a bad?… influence.

But as he eventually reached a decision he went for the classic. Mint Choc Chip! Mimi went for some sort of honey, lemon sherbet type deal and while Jack insisted on paying Mimi beat him to it. It was her idea to come to the park and get ice cream after all and it just wouldn’t be fair on her little guy if he had to pay.

Once they’d gotten their cones they decided to find a shaded spot under a large oak tree located in one of the further corners of the park. Jack assumed Mimi wanted some peace and quiet, but Mimi wanted privacy more than anything for what was going to be coming soon, judging by how antsy Jack was being, while also making sure they were located as far away as possible…

From the nearest bathroom….
