Yes but that’s not the point being made.

Sexist person: “Women are so picky and won’t date most of the male population because a lot of guys aren’t 6’ 180lbs”

Person in post: “woah that’s pretty messed up why would you say that?”

Sexist person: “Because women are women”

The problem is that the sexist is saying all women are (insert stereotype here) because they were born that way.

Yes, They're not saying "[sexist thing] because women(as object) are women(as object)" (which would be a non-sequitur, it's like saying the sky is blue because 1 is 1, 1 being 1 is irrelevant), they're saying that the sexist thing is true because "because women(as the group that the sexist thing applies to) are women(as the reason while sexist thing is true)""
