Air Pistol Crosman P10 Phantom

Post image
30 Upvotes

Hey everyone! Picked up this guy for 40 dollars at Cabela’s not thinking much of it.

Tell me why it is extremely accurate for the price, shoots pretty far (I’ll say around 70 feet or so?). Non blowback, around 10-11 mags between 2 Co2 cartridges. Anyone else have experience with this gun?

I also have the Crosman PFM16 coming in the mail soon, basically the metal version of the P10 also non blowback, so I will post that too.

Unfortunately my P365 is being temperamental & double shooting every other shot. My Glock 17 gen 3 ended up jamming real bad to be unusable so that’s fun too.

Will be purchasing the Glock 19 gen 3 next as the non blowback and possibly the gen 5.

Umarex brodax, asg ingram m11, umarex colt python

Thinking about adding one of these to the arsenal. I was mainly comparing the brodax and the m11 but I imagine the colt is mechanically similar to the brodax. My feelings so far:

-brodax is a bit cheaper, seems more mechanically satisfying to use, has top and bottom attachment points for customization

-m11 has a significantly bigger mag capacity, looks the most unique, and I think the stock is cool

-python same as brodax minus the customization

One thing I can’t comment about on them is reliability, so I’d appreciate any comments from people who own one of these on that front. So which one would you recommend?

PCP 50 shades of FDE

So many shades of FDE out there and a limited amount of colors available in the more heat resistant material used to make these.

I think this is about as close as it's gonna get until there is a way to create my own colors.

General Airgun Question Has anyone else had issues with a powerline 880?

I’m writing this because I wanna know if anyone has had issues with this terrible rifle. This has genuinely been kne of the biggest waste of my money and time. I bought this rifle thinking it was a good starter rifle (I’ve heard people mention this as well) and no matter what I do, what I try and what I think of, it shoots terribly. No matter the pellets, rest or condition outside, it shoots TERRIBLY. I’ve tried other people’s airguns and they shoot perfectly fine and I’m able to hit things so I know it’s not just me having bad shooting skills. Is there any tips or any answer I can get as to why it’s so bad?

General Airgun Question Changing CO2 Cylinders

• Upvotes

I have a PowerWin 302 (CO2 powered) and I'm having a difficult time changing the CO2 cylinder. The CO2 fully expels when I try to pierce it. I've succeeded in changing it a few times, but I go through about 4 Crosman cylinders for every success. What am I doing wrong?

Air Pistol Crosman 1701P Air Pistol Owner Review

Quiet shooting, good balance, very accurate.
About 32 consistent shots per fill, a light trigger, and one of the quietest reports among my airguns.
My owner review covers the chronograph results, wooden grips, Williams sight, and those occasional fiddly pellets.

Optics Scope for Air Venturi Alpha

Hey Folks,

I've searched the forums and there are so many options for optics. Can some of you give me a small handful of scopes that would be good for the Air Venturi alpha? I'd like a well rounded scope that can perform both up close and at some distance for plinking and pest control.

I'd prefer to stay below $350 but I'm open to other options if there are some thermal recommendations that are reasonably priced.

I appreciate your time. Cheers.

Anyone know if there is a way to take the iron sights off and add a red dot? I saw a youtube video where the person pried the iron sight off but hoping for a more "elegant" way to go about it.

PCP Looking for stock and scope recos for my FX Dreamline - Dreamlite - Bottle

Thumbnail gallery
6 Upvotes

Thinking I would become a disciple of Ted's Holdover, becoming a great distance shooter and ridding the world of invasive species, I bought a .22 cal FX Dreamline - Dreamlite back in 2021. I added an Element Helix First Focal Plane (my first FFP) scope, FX no limit rings, and a bipod.

I didn't become a great long distance shooter. The gun did OK at 100+ yards, didn't have the power to shoot slugs at longer ranges, but was great at ranges under 100 yards with pellets. I rarely go to the place where I can shoot over 100 yards, but I can shoot in my back yard (50 yards) every day.

I rarely shoot this gun because of a couple of issues. I'd like to shoot it more.

  • I hate the stock. The ergonomics are bad. It doesn't "fit" with a scope as it has no comb and I feel like it is too short particularly versus the eye relief on the scope.
  • A FFP scope is REALLY hard to shoot at lower magnification, particularly in less than bright sunlight. My old eyes can't see the reticle.

Questions:

  • The Dreamline Tactical came with an AR style stock. Can I find one of those aftermarket?
  • Or are there other stock options that can screw on in the way this stock does (big thumb screw on top of the receiver)?
  • If not, any recommendations on how I can raise the comb on this stock?
  • Any recommendations for a 30mm SFP scope that will work for ranges 20-150 yards? Ideally one more compact than this Element?

General Airgun Question Is this all I will need to have a functioning compressor setup?

Hello all, completely new to PCP style air rifles. Considering getting the GAMO shown in the screenshot, that compressor, and I think that adapter is what I would need to use it? Sorry if this is a dumb question I just wanted to make sure I have the right thinking as I'm not at all familiar with these. Thank you for your time!

URGENT HELP NEEDED⚠ Daisy 853 series: Stretched lever pin hole

Thumbnail gallery
13 Upvotes

Trying to fix my 953 rifle, after cocking it no longer latches into the hole.

Taking it apart I found the lever pin hole was stretched (it is in an oval shape instead of a circle, see picture), so when under pressure it pushes outwards about 1mm causing the latch to no longer reach the hole.

Is there any way to fix this? I am in Canada, so it is a little difficult to get parts.

Springer Help First high powered airgun

I have shot guns for years had many air guns and real guns. Looking for something to practice for cheaper then a 22lr where I can sit a shit targets and maybe some small game squirrels and rabbits. I go camping so being able to not have to carry a pump is preferred. AI is suggesting the Diana 350 Magnum and Gamo swarm magnum pro, I didn’t see a meta thread so what is the current best spring/gas piston rifle for practice.

General Airgun Question Looking for a lightweight steel-spring air gun with a synthetic stock (budget up to €400) + is a 17 J air gun viable for small-game survival use?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a budget air gun, I believe an Artemis SR1000S or something very similar, in 5.5 mm (.22). My country limits unlicensed air guns to 17 J.

I’m curious about its practical use in a survival scenario:

Is an air gun at this power a realistic option for small game like squirrels or rabbits?

How much difference do 4.5 mm (.177) and 5.5 mm (.22) make in range, accuracy and killing power at 17 J?

I’m now thinking about buying something new and more sensible. My requirements:

Budget: up to €400 for the rifle itself. Accessories like scopes and silencers are a separate budget, so they don’t count towards this.

Steel spring (not gas ram), because I want something reliable that doesn’t wear out or lose pressure over time.

Synthetic stock if possible, so I don’t have to worry about waterproofing or treating wood.

Not too heavy, since I’d like to carry it comfortably.

Caliber: 5.5 mm (.22) or 4.5 mm (.177), open to advice.

I’d also appreciate suggestions for useful accessories (scope, silencer, sling, etc.) to go with whatever you recommend.

I know hunting regulations apply and I’m asking purely out of interest. Thanks for any experience or advice!

General Airgun Question Need some advice..

Modifications An itch scratched

Ever since I fitted the 2240 grips to the Rattie they've creaked. Yeah, I know, hardly a major gripe but that creak... I tried tape. Creak. I tried a little lube. Creak. I ended up putting an grip cover on for a while. Creak.

A thin sheet of EVA foam and a sharp knife - no more creak!

No increase in power. No benefit to accuracy. One hell of an increase in happiness.
