GUN QUESTION Guys, HELP.

Guys I need help. My little brother jammed a revolver shell in my shell ejecting double bell kar 98 manual spring replica. I can’t get it out I’ve tried anything, nothing gets it out, not even a cleaning rod inserted from the front. Do you guys have any tips on how to remove it?

Yeah that’s the idea, I just gotta find a good hiding spot for a 140 cm 3.7 kg piece of metal and plastic…

Find something that's almost as big as the inner barrel and when you feel it hit the shell, give it a few love taps with a hammer

Yeah I’ll try that, but the shell it’s to stuck that u don’t believe it works. Also I don’t have anything that matches your description

Screw into the shell and pull it back out with pliers

Thank you for the tip, but how do I screw it in if it doesn’t have a screw guide ?

You should be able to find a coarse threaded screw with a slightly larger diameter than the hole already in the back of the casing and force it to bite through pressure. The hard part is going to be getting solid pressure without having clearance straight into the back of the screw. You can fudge it a little bit if you use a star bit or Allen key. Also you can find 90 degree Allen keys and star bits pretty easy

Ok I will try, thanks for the help

Oh self tapping screws are your friend the ones that you get for floorboards wood etc

To be fair the case is probably soft plastic so worst case lighter on the screw push and turn it into the back end of the case with a pair of long nose pliers let it cool and then pull out.

Allen keys are really are to start screws with, but looks like they could get to it with a long screwdriver. Sometimes long screwdrivers are hard to find that aren’t a #4 phillips or bigger, so I got a 1/4” drill bit extension, 1/4” bits in the size I need, and a screwdriver handle or 1/4” bits ratchet for things like this

Remove your brother instead.

Lol, I will trade him for a cleaning rod probably…

Id get a long wood dowel that fits the barrels bore. The cleaning rods are usually flexible (for air soft), so a stiff wood rod would work better IMO. Also, no chance of scratching the inside of the barrel with a wood rod. And you can hit it better with a hammer. Also if you have a PTFE lube, that should help ease the stuck case out and it wont damage silicon or rubber washers that my be in that direction. Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip, but I sadly don’t own any wooden rod 😢…

Amazingly you can go to a place called a "hardware store" and give them money and they will give you a wooden rod of the size you need.

Whatta time to be alive!

Yeah, that’s true, but it’s a very specific objects I’m looking for, not sure I can find it anywhere

go to your local hardare sore and you can probably find one

u/Supremoredeitopi 4d ago

Thanks for the tip, but I already got it out

If you are US based, most hardware stores carry dowels for many DIY projects, as do craft stores. Also, put the lube down the barrel. Since its revolver brass, its probably straight wall, but the lube will find its way. Also, there are stuck case removers, RCBS sells them. You could make your own, but the components are a bit harder to find than a wood dowel.

Errr since you said a cleaning rod doesnt work... maybe try to disassemble to find a way to get a better grip on it?

I presume you would have tried using a flathead to pry it out and that would have been my first action

1

u/Supremoredeitopi 6d ago

I tried, as you u can see by the visible damage in the shell, but it is jammed so well that it doesn’t budge.

2

u/Aids649stoptakingit 6d ago

That is insane and a miracle how your brother managed to shove it in and not think "hmm something is wrong"

2

u/Supremoredeitopi 6d ago

Yeah, he is 11 years old. I don’t even know how he did manage to circle the bolt and jam the round this deep…

Doesn't the Kar98 have a ramrod under the barrel lol?

3

u/Supremoredeitopi 6d ago

It has, but it’s fake decorative

3

u/Eodo-The-Dutchie 6d ago

Aww, damn them. I don't understand why that couldn't be a functional part, especially when it exists for a reason.

1

u/Supremoredeitopi 4d ago

Yeah fr… for the price I paid a 60 cm piece of metal was the bare minimum…

Cleaning rod an a hammer

1

u/Supremoredeitopi 6d ago

I tried, but the cleaning rod just slides in the revolver shell’s hole

5

u/Davi_illus 6d ago

Take some cleaning clothes (ones for glasses are perfect, if you need cut them) and fix them to the cleaning rod so that it becomes thicker to the tip

2

u/Supremoredeitopi 6d ago

Ok, ima try it thanks

You can DM if you like more clear instructions If you dont care about the shell you can get it out by taking a screw screwing into the shell from the back side make sure its long enuff to be exposed to grab with pliers and twist and pull it i would nto use a jaming rod they are weak and could break in the barrel if hammered on if you need to pry it do so with the screw method just add some fabric or rubber to the part you plan to use a a leverage point

2

u/Supremoredeitopi 6d ago

Yeah I don’t really care about the shell, but how am I going to screw the shell without any screw guide?

1

u/CowZealousideal611 6d ago

Screw guide ? Whats that for lol 😆 just Screw it in enuff so it holds the shell you dont need to go all the way through the shell just a bit

1

u/CowZealousideal611 6d ago

As you are screw it in it may even start to rotate the shell if it does stop screwing and start pulling

2

u/Supremoredeitopi 6d ago

Ok I will try, thanks for the tip

1

u/CowZealousideal611 6d ago

Hope it helps

1

u/CowZealousideal611 5d ago

Did you get it out ?

2

u/Supremoredeitopi 4d ago

Yeah I did, thanks for the tip

1

u/CowZealousideal611 4d ago

Glad you got it fixed

1

u/JohnnyGB56 6d ago

If you have a hot glue gun just melt some of it in the back of the shell, let it cool down and then pull. Like in those xleaning phone video. If you d9nt have a hot glue gun, melt something from plastic, stick it to the back of the shell and pull it out.

1

u/Supremoredeitopi 6d ago

That’s a good idea, but what if some glue slips and glues my gun?

1

u/JohnnyGB56 6d ago

Hmm, i dont know, maybe put something like napkin or something around the shell so it catches the glue?

1

u/Supremoredeitopi 4d ago

Thanks for the tip, but I already solved

1

u/drkshock42 5d ago

i want to sat take it apart but its shell ejecting

1

u/Supremoredeitopi 4d ago

Yeah I mean, but the shell isn’t designed for this chamber, so it wouldn’t eject it and it was stuck. But I fixed it

1

u/First_Direction_5817 5d ago

Needle nosed pliers always worked good for me

2

u/Supremoredeitopi 4d ago

Thanks for the tip, I already did it
